"Aurora you should come closer, there's something I want you to see on the system." She walked closer to his desk, she stared at the screen.
"It looked fine to me, what happened? Who re-edited the list? Oh wait, it's just the draft." She turned to him, his eyes were gazing deep into hers.
He already knew that, he just wanted her by his side. He stood up to her, she sat on the desk. He smiled and he let her hair down from the ponytail, His eyes trailed down into her shirt.
He kissed her deeply, the tension increased and it made him loosen his belt. She crossed her legs around him, he took his lips to her neck. The sexual intercourse could scream 'I'm coming' but it didn't have lips.
His hands caressed her thighs, her waist and her neck softly. He was such a lover boy. He put his hand on her lingerie, "What!"
Vexis returned to the science firm, he stared at the shocking view of Aurora and Void kissing fiercely. "You could get a room!" They stopped after his loud voice echoed in the office. He stood directly in front of them, disgusted at his mental approach to woo her into his arms all because he wanted to get into the family.
"Vexis, this is my office and as the owner of the science firm I deserve anyone I choose. Don't barge in here like you own the town."
"Own the town! No I don't own the town but I own a high seat in the courts of the lords. Keep that in mind, excuse us Aurora. It's clearly time for you to leave."
She walked out of the office, readjusting her clothes to their proper positions. She shut the door behind her and went out of sight. Vexis turned back to Void, "Void, on a serious note. I'm getting a bit disappointed in you. I didn't expect to lose your focus this quick, you are falling for a person you can't even trust… "
"Oh please! Spare me!" He interrupted rudely. "Don't speak of loyalty, I'm wounded and I need first aid."
"First aid? Is that all you see her as? A playboy. Void, that woman is a friend to our supposed enemy. Do you understand what that means? She can't be trusted even as a toy. You need to start using your plans, we didn't come this far to play. You don't even know what's going on now!"
Void stood silent, Vexis continued, "Xander's with Apex. A fellow court master, he's there and will be there for eleven months. That's eleven years here. You have enough time to aid yourself and so do I. You know what comes after the exile stops."
"Vexis? How did Xander get to Apex? How did he get to that man without you or your books? You left your seat?" Void sat on his office chair.
"I never leave my seat, he had help from Apex. I don't know what his plans are but I'm sure it's solely for his personal benefit. If I must say, Apex still had eyes on the court throne before I left."
"Oh did he?"
"Yes, he did. This is not a joke. They all have eyes for the throne. Name it, anybody at all."
"So what's next now?"
"You have blueprints of your machine, we need to create a protection barrier over Earth X in no time. The sooner the better, The exile will end at exactly eleven years. How perfect."
Void stared at him for a while, he took his eyes to his table, to his laptop specifically. He smiled and said, "Alright then, you can ascend to the courts to keep an eye on Xander and I'll remain here for a while. I heard the celestial serpent come around."
"That thing? When?"
"Last week I guess, after the astral chimera escaped. He got in, any other information?"
"Yeah, stay away from Aurora. Evidently."
Void smiles saying, "you know I'm starting to think you have the blues for her, you like her don't you? You want her all over you, the exact same way she is over me. You just have an issue with approaching people, you should sit more with me. Maybe you'll learn." He took his coffee, he sipped it a little.
Zephyr overheard the conversation, he walked back to his desk. He acted like he didn't see or hear them slightly argue, he sent a text to Luna. She received it, and she's overwhelmed by it's content.
"You guys! We have an issue and it's a big one! He's not coming back now. Zephyr just sent this."
Mara still sat sober over her supposed argument with Elysium. She remained narrowly inactive, "When is he coming?" She asked.
Luna replied, "he'll be back in eleven years time. Can you imagine?"
Their eyes widened in shock, eleven years?!
Astrid took her phone and dialed Zephyr, "Hey, could you help us reach Xander? Ask him why he's trying to be an asshole? He said he'll be back but he's taking more than a decade? Who knows if we'll be alive by then."
Zephyr replied, "Astrid, it's not him. It's Apex and the court lords. Something transpired at the council of the lords and they'll need him to train for a specific enemy emerging from exile after eleven years. He's the missing piece in the puzzle."
"What puzzle? Who made the puzzle anyway? I need my younger brother back as soon as possible."
"You can't alter the timelines, only Xander and Luna can. But Luna doesn't have a suit and she's not even trained to access such knowledge in the first place. Just be patient with him and me, I'll try to create an illusion to get into my dad's head. Until then, stay safe."
He dropped the phone and hung up.
Luna asked, "what'd he say?"
"You and Xander have access to the courts but I don't. What makes me different?"
"Possibly mom's genes or something else. But how can I get there? You should ask him."
"Or not."
"What?"
"I'll ask Aurora."
"Mara, can you stay with Luna? I need to get to the lab."
"Don't, it's about to rain and you know you won't get past the weather. Let's go home instead, at least we know how long he'll be gone. Camping here will lead to a lot of sanctions."
She walked away to her tent and she started packing her luggage.
