Chapter 39: Luna's Powers

It's been six solid months since Luna joined the Cosmic Nexus Consortium. Her first month had her signing into the firm as an intern working side by side with Zephyr. She handled the files, the research, the projects and the test laboratory part-time. It was a bit hectic but she made it out alive, she emerged as the senior intern at the lab by the beginning of the second month.

         During the second month, she evolved into the deep scientific. She started working for both Void and Vexis. She took part in most of the administrative field, she followed through until she finally became a junior scientist at the beginning of the third month.

         In the third month, she had more exams and tests to write, more to ace. She worked under the notable Professor league and finally assisted Doctor Aurora Starlight. She emerged as the junior scientist expert, making it to the top five at the laboratory at the beginning of the fourth month.

         The fourth month started off dry, until she was introduced to the machineries of the science laboratory. She worked with the doctor league and emerged as the best student from the results presented through the tests and exams she took.

           In the fifth month, she continued to work as an assistant to Zephyr. She had her desk close to Zephyr's. She took on mostly desk work rather than other types of labor. Zephyr admired her service.

         I'm the sixth month, she's fully addressed as Doctor Luna. She's got her own desk and still served under Zephyr, she refused to leave his side because he admired his character. His mind, his body, his lips especially. She always had herself in a daze over him, he noticed this but ignored it.

          It's the seventh month, Zephyr thought of a date for the both of them since he noticed he's been thinking of her way too much. He wanted them to have a simple dinner or lunch, maybe breakfast. He didn't mind her close to him, he really tried his best to resist the urge to hold her waist and kiss her lips softly because he knew they were related but recently he wasn't interested in that concept. He just knew one thing, he wanted her.

           Luna just logged out of her computer, she's getting ready to leave the firm. It's evening, it's 7:45pm to be exact. He stared at her with the side eye, watching her pack her things. "Luna?"

        She turned her face to his, "Yeah?"

     He logged out and asked her, "would you like to go on a date tonight? I'm sorry it's late but I would love it if we could catch up."

       "Catch up on what? Also I would prefer you asking me this and then we plan it. But anyway I wanted to stop by the restaurant to get some food anyway so yeah guess we can."

        It looked like they had it planned already, he agreed. "Yeah it's on me, let's go." Now Luna didn't have a car yet so she sat in his and they reached the restaurant.

         They made their orders and they sat waiting for it. While they sat, Luna turned to him not knowing he already had his eyes on her. She felt a tensed heat run through her body, she took her eyes to her phone. His stare felt so awkward because they were cousins. Their fathers were blood twin brothers.

         He took his eyes off her, he didn't want to present himself as a weird simp. Finally the food got to their table, they ate together. From the beginning to the end of the meal, they never spoke but their eyes did. The intense silence wasn't silent at all, their minds spoke when their lips couldn't.

           He paid as promised, he drove her home. She said, "thank you." He smiled and nodded. She moved closer to his body after she unbuckled her seat belt, she hugged him and kissed his cheek.

         He watched her step out of the car and enter the house. He drove away after he got back to his senses.

        When he reached his house, he took off his clothes. He entered the bathroom, he allowed the cold water to drop from his head to his feet.

       His phone rang, it was Luna. He stepped and nieces she sent some messages about how she enjoyed the awkward silent dinner they had and she would love to do it again sometime.

         He smiled at the text. He replied saying "Sure, I'll let you know when." He dropped his phone to charge and he slept off. He had an extremely rough day, he was exhausted.

       He saw himself in a dream where he had his lips on her lips, he saw them having this intimate romance he never had. It was so intense he had a wet dream from it.

         When he opened his eyes, he realized he had already ruined his bedsheet. He slept under the duvet, it was morning. He sat up in his warm semen, he wished it had happened in reality.
