Her eyes stare into his eyes, a slow romance pop song plays in her head. She thinks of all the things he could do to her body. She didn't think he'd have a nice side, everyone feared this man. Everyone gave him the space he never asked for. She responded, "yes I can start today or even tomorrow if you'd like." He liked her response. She glanced again at his eyes and lips quietly thinking of getting a kiss from him.
He gave her a kiss on her cheek again, she really wanted that on her lips. He smiled and wanted to walk away with his cup of coffee, he stopped and turned back to her. He asked, "Can I get your phone number?"
She stared into his phone and took it, she typed her phone number in and gave it back to him. He called her number right there and walked away with a "thank you." emerging from his lips. She stared at him till he got out of her sight, Vexis watched all of the supposed part time romance. He stared at Void quietly, Void asked, "what? I can't make any friends? Do you have a problem with that cousin?"
He gave a smart smirk, and he responded, "you know? One thing I find very funny about you and your supposed personality is this concept right here. First you say you want to take over the firm by force and later you start acting like a total simp for a lab lady."
Void takes his lab coat off revealing his slightly unbuttoned shirt showing a sexy and mildly sweaty chest without hair. He drops the coat on the chair in front of him. He turned his stare to Vexis and replied, "Vexis? You need to chill a little. You take things way too seriously, these are the ways of a stable psychopath and after all, she's a woman."
Vexis feels a tumble of irritation and him from his statement. "Void? She's a friend and wait let me rephrase what I just said. She's a friend to Galen. Galen Orion. The first interest you should have is to get him out of the way, rather you cling to his only friend at the firm? Get your tracks straight."
Void's smile disappeared from his lips, he warned, "be careful with me. I know what I'm doing, she's the closest ally to Xander and the perfect person for the portals, don't look down on my techniques. I am Void. And guess what, Void always wins.
"Your confidence may cause a strike in your procedures if you're not careful. We've come a long way for any flimsy excuses or distractions. Don't ruin this for us." He walks out after he gives his last words for the conversation.
Aurora still sat in the state of coffee drinking and is shocked at Void's approach towards her. She decided it'll make more sense to get closer to Void. She wanted to be a double agent, she picked up her phone and she called Xander. He didn't pick. She needed to deliver this to him without the cameras seeing her.
She looked out of her computer, and drove home immediately. It's been a while since I've been there alone. She runs into the house leaving the front door open, she grabs the majority of her clothes. On getting to her room, she realized something had happened while she was gone. A certain symbol appeared on her wall, she'd never seen anything like it. "What's this?", she pulls out her phone to get a proper picture of it. She walks around the house hoping to see another symbol but she doesn't.
She packs all luggage out of the house and drives to the igloo. She sees Xander trying to construct something with his hands. He held the tiny wires trying to make them give a spark.
"Xander I tried calling you, I got something from the lab. Void wants me to be his assistant." Xander stared silently. He didn't have any words to say. She continued, "what? I took it, I think it'll help us get more clues from him."
Xander says, "from him? Or us? This isn't safe, Void cannot be trusted at all. I could trust Zephyr or Orion but not him. I don't even have a close connection to his daughter either. Keep your distance from him, he surely wants me and he wants to use you to get to me."
Her eyebrows furrowed, "yes that's the point. That's the major reason why I want to get close to him. We'll need to stay at least ten steps ahead of this guy. If I draw closer, maybe he'll reveal a lot to me. Especially his intentions with the portals and you. I just need more time with him and I need to be cautious of Vexis. Before I left I heard Vexis speaking to him."
Xander stopped touching the wires, that name gave him the chills. "Vexis? What's he doing here? Why's he here with Void? I thought he stayed at the courts? Luna!!" Luna heard Xander yell her name and she stepped out to meet him with a disgusted face.
"Why'd you have to be so loud? What happened to you?" She turned to Aurora, "hey you are back! Did you get us anything?"
Aurora replied, "nope but I got news, I got a symbol and Vexis at the firm. Why? I don't know." Luna gets serious at the sound of his name.
She replied, "take me to the lab, let's go now. Xander can't come, I need to check something." Xander walked in and delivered the news to Mara and Astrid. They decided they wanted to come along but Galen needed a companion in case.
Aurora drives to the firm. Xander sent a text message to Zephyr concerning the issue. Zephyr decided to summon up courage to confront his tyrant father, "Dad we need to talk."
Void replied, "what's wrong Zephyr?". He could sense his impatience.
Zephyr proceeds, "why did you buy the firm? Dad?" Void stared at him confused by his words.
"Why did I buy the firm? Are you alright? I bought it because I wanted it. What else?", Zephyr gaped at him unsatisfied by his plain reply.
Zephyr asked, "do you have access to portals or maybe other planets?" Void knew his son found out about his plans when he shouldn't have. He takes his glasses off. He rests his back on the office chair in silence. Zephyr continued, "I know you are desperate for power but the fate of our lives should be the source of it."
Void's offended, "Fate? What do you know about fate? What do you know about power? Zephyr you are a junior scientist, the affair you speak of is strictly for the senior league. Don't join yourself into it. Drop this issue." His stern expression makes Zephyr more upset.
They get into a heated argument, Aurora and Luna walk in on them arguing. Luna suddenly got a glimpse of the one and only Vexis. Her heart skipped, a flush of heated anxiety moved through her nervous system. He looked like a normal person.
He smiled.
