"Where did the kids go?" Jason's dad asked, trotting downstairs with a deafening boom each footstep.
"Again?" His mom exclaimed, with fake apprehensiveness. How long since they were gone? I haven't been keeping track." She yawned.
"About a week." Father said.
"Oh. They'd be fine, they've been gone before,"
"Okay."
"They must be happy and safe where they are right now."
"So..." Father said. "I'm going out to buy some milk... I'll come back soon, I promise"
"Okay" Mother said, with another yawn.
