The year begins as always, New Year's and then Aelynn's birthday. I cannot believe that she is already four. February rolls around and I find out that Uncle Ben has died. He was killed in a mugging gone wrong. I attended his funeral and stayed with Peter and Aunt May for a couple of days to insure that they would be okay before returning home.

Shane and Ryan tell me that they are going to investigate the queen Mary but I have been on that ship recently so I just say that I am busy.

I get a call from dad saying that the angel of death has to attend a meeting. So I get all dressed up and travel there. We are taken to a room and sat down. It turns out they called us here to scold us. Apparently the others were being rather reckless and destroyed a few things. Perhaps I should keep a better eye on them, they do behave like children sometimes.

The man who called the meeting then showed us damages that have been caused by us. They seemed to be grasping at straws for me as I strive to cause as little damage as possible. I also have not used this persona outside of the US like the others have when using their powers.

They try to get us to sign a paper stating that we cannot work to protect people without permission. This seems like a rather flawed plan in the grand scheme of things as people take time to respond and that leads to casualties. Of course my dad feels similar and disapproves of the plan.

"The response time required to get all of the people together and to an agreement is much longer than some situations may require. Also I have not done any damage so I do not understand why I have to sign it."

"You are part of the avengers so you have to take some responsibility for the things that have happened."

"To be honest I never agreed to being a part of the avengers I was just placed with them after the catastrophe that took place in New York as I was powered and there. Most of the people here do not even know who I am."

"So you're proposing that you don't have to sign it because you have not done anything wrong and you are not a part of the avengers. Is that correct?"

"Yes, I propose that I should be allowed to refrain from signing it so that you can have someone respond right away. I have not caused any damage so this should not be a problem."

"I guess you can be excused but if you do anything that causes loss of life you will be required to sign it as well."

"Alright." I say before whispering to myself, "it is not like you can find me even if I do cause a problem." I excuse myself after that and leave them to their meeting although I am pretty sure that it will end poorly.

I get called abruptly a few days later by Nat. Apparently there was a bomb planted near the signing and some people have already been reported dead. She needs me to come help. I get back into the right appearance and outfit before heading there. I need to avoid the cameras, so I appear a few streets over and quickly fly there.

When I arrive I check over a few people and meet up with Nat. "What is the situation?"

"A bomb was planted in a News van, they think that it was Bucky."

"But he is home. He was with me and Aelynn."

"I can't convince them, they have a video of someone who looks like him doing it."

"Perhaps a video of him very far from here will prove them wrong." I walk over to a group of representatives and talk to them. They call over most of the other representatives and together they agree that if I can give them proof they will tell the media that they are wrong.

I call Bucky and get him to agree to be on video. He also agrees to walk outside to show New York and to keep Aelynn off camera. I flip it to video and show it to the representative. The watch as he walks outside and shows that he is in New York and not insane. He also walks over to a newspaper stand to show that the paper is from today. I can hear Aelynn off screen pouting because he is on call with me and will not let her talk.
