Soon after the ceremony starts the two of us along with Light are called up to give our speeches. Light has his all planned out and written down, Lucian makes it up as he goes but pretends to read it off a paper and I recite mine from memory.

As we are up there I hear people talk about us. Some about how unprofessional Lucian is dressed, some about what type of genius we all are and some about us being cute. I do however hear one person says paladin Okumura so I look over to see a girl and a boy that I saw during a mission that they were watching as a class. I shush them so no one knows my real name, especially not Light.

As we walk down the stairs to take our seats again Lucian starts to reveal to Light what he knows about him before revealing that he is L. I hear Lights heart speed up as he sits without responding. After a moment he responds that he has nothing but respect for Lucian and Lucian says that he wants Light to help with the case.

As they are speaking it turn to the god of death but only long enough to get his name. "Ryuik." I say quietly but he hears it and turns towards me without a word to Light. " I am giving you a warning. Stay away from me and my family and that includes L. If Lucian or any other member of my family dies and I find out you had some part of it I will make you cease to exist and believe me I can. I understand you cannot control the human who has your book but if you give him anything that will help him hurt my family I will kill him and then you."

He looks at me with concern. "Got it." He says making Light move slightly towards him before catching himself.

"If you're L who is Mitsuki?" Light asks

"I am." I say and he turns to. Clearly he was not expecting me to be able to hear him even though he was not being that quiet. This seems to make him even more alarmed even though when I am not on a mission as paladin I am almost always with Lucian.

"Wow." He says, his tone of voice says he is impressed but his heart tells me he is even more concerned. Honestly I am almost one hundred percent sure he is Kira at this point and it sounds like Lucian thinks the same.

"I am not nearly as impressive as L. Now at least one of us has to listen to the information we are being told." I say before turning back to the front as they talk next to me.

Near the end of the ceremony I turn back to Ryuik because he has been looking at me for the majority of the ceremony. "What?" I whisper. He looks at Light and moves slightly closer to me as light is not paying attention to him.

"I can't read your name. It seems like multiple are written on top of each other and your time of death is the same."

"Makes sense. I have several names and I am not one to stay dead but do not tell that to Light or anyone else not even other gods of death. You never know where there true loyalties lie."

"Why did you tell me?"

"You seem to be doing this for entertainment and do not seem to want to die so you are not going to tell anyone because it will end your fun and your life."

"Fair." He says and floats back to where he was standing behind Light. The rest of the ceremony flies by and we leave. Lucian talks to Light one last time before we get in the car and he seems calmer as we leave.

A few days after the ceremony Light and Lucian decide to play a game of tennis to 'get closer'. Light ends up winning and after he asks to go out for a drink and ask if he can ask Lucian some questions.

"You can ask me some questions but first I have to tell you that I suspect you are Kira." Lucian reveals. Lights heartbeat picks up and he stops walking but he covers it with a laugh like he cannot believe that anyone would think that.

Lucian then says that it is only a one percent possibility that Light is Kira but I know he really means that he is ninety nine percent sure that Light is Kira. Being told that it is only one percent of a chance I hear Light relax.

After he relaxes he pushes the idea of going to a cafe again and Lucian agrees so we head to a cafe that Light recommends. When we get there they play mind games with each other but it ends abruptly when both Light and Lucian get a call reporting that Lights father had a heart attack.

We rush to the hospital and find out it was from stress not Kira so I still am almost positive that Light is Kira. Lucian gives him time off and Light agrees to join the team to help find Kira. After that we are told to leave because visiting hours are over.

On the way out Light suggests that we lock him up for a month with no access to television to prove that he is not Kira. Lucian denies that idea though because it is a human rights violation. I suspect he has some sort of plan to prove he is not Kira and he needs to be in custody for that.
