The case is ongoing and I am debating revealing what I know about Light in front of both him and the investigators. I don't have time to though because Kira shows themself on TV in the form of a message.

As I watch several things seem wrong. They are killing innocent people, they speak differently and one of the police officers headed to check it out and was killed without a name. "I don't think this is the same Kira."

"What?!" One of the officers questions.

"I agree they don't behave like the Kira we have been interacting with so far."

"Hold off on heading there. I will go and check it out."

"But you are just going to get killed!"

"I have reason to believe I will be fine. But if I am not I expect you to do your best to stay safe when approaching the situation." I say before grabbing my coat and keys and heading out the door.

When I arrive other than news vans there is no one here. I look around the area for souls and see one in a building nearby but they leave before I can look at the name. I can tell they are the one with the death note though because I can feel the aura of a god of death from here.

I frown slightly before heading into the building and retrieving the tapes being used for the broadcast. I run into the head detective on the case as I am leaving and we head back to where the others are.

When we arrive the others swarm me to make sure I am actually alright. Lucian looks me over in a way that makes him seem calm but I can tell he was scared. "I am fine. Here are the tapes."

Lucian orders one of the officers to take the packaging that the tapes came in to the crime lab and we watch the tapes. The other Kira seems to want us to appear on TV whether we agree to work with them or not. So they can kill us if anything happens.

Lucian says that the TV station should play the tape that was to be played if we said no and we watch as it is played while thinking up a plan. "I am almost positive that this Kira is not the original."

"A copycat with similar abilities to kill."

"Yes, except this one only needs a face instead of a face and a name."

"Then how did you survive?"

"My assumption is that they had already left the area. Now we should set up a video response but have it be from the 'real' Kira. I cannot imagine the real Kira would be happy about the death of innocents that we're not trying to catch him."

"But who will we have play Kira?"

"I think Light would be a good choice." I imagine he wants to respond to the new Kira anyway.

"L, what do you think about this?" One of the officers asks.

"I agree with his assumptions and that we should have Light work as the Kira for this interaction. Though I think that we should see what Light thinks about this before telling him about the second Kira." Lights father agrees to bring him in for the case so we call him up and tell him to come here.

When he arrives he watches over the video and I figure his thoughts will be telling and interesting so I listen in. His thoughts tell me that he is Kira, he did not make the videos and that he thinks that the other Kira is messy and not as sophisticated.

After he finishes the videos he says a very similar thing to what I said and all of the police officers are impressed. After, Lucian reveals what we know about the other Kira and tells Light that he would like him to pose as Kira and film a response. Just audio obviously and the audio will be modulated in a way that no one will be able to figure out who is speaking.

Light agrees to pose as Kira and gets started on working out what he is going to say so that we can record it and put it on the News tonight. He writes out a script and runs it by Lucian before beginning the recording process.

He finishes his video in time and we send it to several News stations anonymously. They play it and a few days later we get a reply from the second Kira. The video includes things like the eyes, which I assume is something the gods of death can give people and why the other Kira only needs a face like an actual god of death. I guess that they can see people's names. The second thing that catches my attention is the direct addressing of Japanese gods of death.

As the video plays I look around the room for reactions and most of the people are either scared or concerned while Light is fuming. I do understand why though, the other Kira is revealing things even if the other people in this room do not know that they are.

Another thing said in the video is that the other Kira wants to meet the true Kira as well as the man with the unreadable name from the news station incident. I frown slightly knowing that the other Kira is talking about me. Perhaps they think that I have some power that could benefit them and the original Kira or maybe that I am a threat because they cannot kill me at a distance. It is even possible that they may think that I am related to gods of death as well which they would not be wrong about.

"What do they mean by the one with the unreadable name?"

"I can only assume it is me and that is why they did not kill me."

"Why would your name be unreadable?"

"Maybe because I was adopted? So I have a birth name and one I was given when I was adopted." I propose and no one else has a better answer so we get back to the video.

After the video is done we discuss our next course of action. We decided that it would be best to wait to put out a response video to see if the original Kira would do his own or the second Kira would make another video revealing more.
