Skià pov

After I am done tending to the wounded I am shown the keep where the relic we are supposed to be keeping safe resides. I make sure to feel out the people there to see if they feel like demons but no one sticks out to me so the person that tried to steal the relic is most likely not here. They probably got sent to the infirmary.

I know that they will likely try to steal it again so I place a spell over the door. It will tell me if most of the people leave and it will tell me if someone with a demon aura enters. Specifically the aura of a Gehenna demon though.

I finish up my day of work and eat dinner before heading to bed. I wake up in the morning and do my usual routine of exercise before getting back to business.

I am almost done with the work day when my spell says people are leaving the keep so I excuse myself and quickly head there. My spell then tells me a demonic presence went through right before I arrive so I look around and travel into the shadows of the keep entrance.

I see that all of the people are knocked out and see one of Shima's brothers rush by into the keep followed closely by a suspicious Kyūji. I follow quickly after the two of them into the keep.

I stay back as Shima's older brother talks to the person who is trying to steal the relic. She is also part of the people who work to protect the relic but apparently her old teacher convinced her that it was not really safe and they need to send a message so she was going to steal it and meet up with that teacher so he could 'protect' it. Somehow the teacher found out about Rin and Mephisto's knowledge of me and my brothers being alive and used it to prove that the Vatican is corrupt. I mean they are but so is the person trying to steal the relic so it really is the question of who is going to cause the most problems with it. I also notice that the girl is not a demon or possessed by one so they must have just spent a lot of time near a demon.

Ryūji jumps in to stop them from fighting but I stay back and observe for a bit longer. If I let this go on and they get ahold of the relic there is a chance that I will lose the rest of my break to dealing with this. I use the shadows on the ceiling to get closer and then take the relic, the eye of the impure king, myself before replacing it with a fake that has just enough of the right kind of demon magic that it seems real along with regular magic to make it look the exact same and such.

I take the actual relic and slip it into the shadows. Then I move back to where I was standing before and observe. Right as I get to the spot the whole building starts to shake and the ceiling begins to rot.

After a moment the ceiling starts to collapse and a man steps through. He is clearly the professor. He looks kind of familiar so perhaps I was part of his class at one point or another. The teacher and the student both talk to Shima's brother for a while and it is revealed that the student thinks that it was her idea to steal the eyes in the first place. I am almost completely sure that that is not true but it is definitely what she believes.

People rush in and I follow the crowd as the girl takes the eye I replaced and uses the power to disappear. The teacher uses the actual other eye to do the same. I frown slightly in concern because even though I replaced it so it should not be able to do as much damage as whatever they had planned originally they could still do a lot of damage. I never actually intended for them to be able to make off with it I was just curious about how it would go. Their quick disappearance was definitely not expected.

The moment that it clicks that the relic is gone people start to move around again and Ryūji notices a man. Apparently that man is his father and he does not get along with him. Ryūji verbally attacks his father and his father just seems sad.

Rin notices something familiar about the fight and steps in. He tells Ryūji's father that he needs to do a better job of being a father and tells Ryūji that he should not be so rude to his father because he will never know when the last time they will speak might be.

Ryūji does not take the message to heart though. "Leave and don't come back." He says to his father. I notice that Rin is acting strange so I go over and take him into my arms breaking him out of his thoughts without him showing the flames that represent Satan. He still yells at Ryūji for a while but he controls himself.

Before he can lose himself I pull Rin away from the situation but not before I put my own words in. "I do not know what the situation between you and your father is but think carefully, both of you, if this is really how you want it to be." I look between Ryūji and his father while speaking before walking away and dragging Rin with me.

After I get Rin back to his room I go off to find Ryūji's father. Something is off here, I can feel it and he definitely knows what it is. I look for his soul and find him walking through the forest. I appear in the shadows next to him and approach him. "What is actually going on here? I know that you know."

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you."

"I see. So the impure king is still alive is he."

"What?! How did you know?"

"Well it is about the only thing that would make sense for you to hide. So where is he hidden? I assume that is what the professor is after." He thinks for a moment before moving along.

I follow after him and as we move he tells me the story about how he became friends with father Fujimoto. In the story he told me about how father Fujimoto got the sword that he sealed Rin's powers in and how father Fujimoto said that he would use the sword to kill a child but Ryūji's father knew that he would not end up doing it.

When we arrived I could feel the power of the eye I replaced nearby so I headed that way and so did Ryūji's father. When he saw that the stairs to the basement were open he rushed down. I follow and see the two perpetrators there.

I guard the girl who is injured and clearly has realized her mistake while Ryūji's father fights the professor. The professor however manages to return the eyes to the impure king and it starts to come to life. I quickly notice that something is wrong with it however so I grin as we escape. The impure king barely makes it to the actual building before it bursts into lovely blue flames and turns itself to ash.

"What happened?"

"I may or may not have replaced the eye with a replica filled with the power of a son of Satan before they managed to steal the eye."

"Thank you."

"No need to thank me. It would be a problem if the world ended at this point. Wibbily wobbly timey wimey stuff." I say while moving my hand in a nonchalant way.
