Ceto keeps talking about some man named Bill Cosby. Eris keeps moaning loudly when describing the current ruler of some powerful country. Mania has been asking for advice on which form to take to go sleep with Carnage as.
Artemis just stays away and silently judges them.
‘How can these whores be attracted to those greedy slobs? They only think about one thing.’
“Yeah, I’m planning on going down to fuck with Spider-Man tomorrow. It will be amazing, I’ve seen what he can do to his exes. I want some too.”
‘Except for Spider-Man. He is the one man that Artemis respects. He is a great hunter, even if he doesn’t kill. He is also, maybe a little hot.’
“What do you mean you are going to bed, Spider-Man?” I ask while standing up.

My face gets really flustered and I storm off.

At that moment Artemis decides to distract herself by watching the mortals. She usually sticks to just the heroines.
Her watching orb shows the heroine Tabitha Smith. Also known as Boom-Boom.
The orb reveals that Tabitha is currently in New York in a battle against some sort of alien invasion.
She isn’t alone, there are several heroes helping in the fight alongside the heroine with anger issues.
One of the most prominent being the very hero Artemis was trying to not swoon over.
“Damn it, why does he have to be such a good person? It’s very hard to hate all men when he is such a great person.”
The fight rages on for about twenty minutes before it was over.
The heavy hitters like Hulk, Thor, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, and The Thing use their brute strength to take down the leader of the aliens who had very hard-skinned aliens.
The magic users like Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch, and Magik worked on a spell to send the aliens to a reality where they would be destroyed.
The rest of the big-time heroes focused on fighting off the drones, while a few others got the civilians to safety.
Artemis watches all this from Tabitha’s POV. The goddess just prefers to focus most of her attention on a single heroine at a time. It makes it easier to care about what’s going on if she is viewing it up close as if she is there too.
Tabitha is helping her fellow X-Men fight off the drones. She is doing a pretty good job killing the aliens. It turns out they are most vulnerable to heat, so she and Johnny Storm are in their element.
