"I still can't believe you're going out with Chimney." Rylin laughed. Maddie had invited Rylin over to help her get ready for her date with Chimney. "Well no, I can believe it. I mean I literally called it since the day you two met."

"Trust me, I know." Maddie smiled. "Everytime I see you, all you can talk about is how much you want us to be a thing."

"What can I say, I'm a great match maker." Rylin shrugged. "And you're proving me right."

Maddie rolled her eyes, but her smile was still huge. "What time is he picking you up anyway?" Rylin asked as she stuffed a few grapes in her mouth.

At her words, the doorbell rang from downstairs. "That should be him." Maddie said just as Rylin finished straightening her friends hair. "Uh, you can stay as long as you need, just lock the door when you leave incase Buck doesn't come back soon."

"You got it." Rylin smiled before giving Maddie a hug. She decided to stay upstairs as Maddie went to the door, letting Chim and Maddie talk before leaving.

Rylin's phone went off as she was scrolling through her instagram.

Evan: Did my sister leave yet?

Rylin: no, but she's about to! she looks super hot :D

Evan: I find it hard to believe Chim is going out with my sister and not you.

Rylin: you know i'd date her in a heartbeat, but i'm a madney truther and i'd rather not be your sister in-law. besides, i've got myself a boyfriend too.

Rylin: so how's your love life, evan? you talk to that girl you saved during the earthquake yet?

Evan: Actually, I did. We decided to take things slow while she's on a business trip.

Rylin was going to respond, but then she heard weird noises coming from downstairs.

"Maddie, don't tell me you got the yips and didn't go on that date." Rylin laughed as she walked down the stairs.

"Who the hell are you?" Rylin asked as she stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking at a man that had been standing over her unconscious friend.

"No one of your concern." the man answered.

She went to grab her phone from her back pocket. She was ready to call 9-1-1. As she went to press the call button, she felt a strong pain in her jaw as she fell to the ground, losing consciousness.

"Can't let you tell anyone about this." the man said as he took Maddie to his car, then Rylin.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?"

"I'm at 1832 Bryson Avenue. I have an adult male with multiple stab wounds to his torso. Need medical and police response." Buck said, holding pressure to the wounds he found on Chimney as he laid on the ground unconscious.
