Season 4, Episode 3
'Everyone Knows'

FORGETTING SHE WAS AT BUCK'S apartment, Rylin opened the door after being woken by someone knocking on it.

When she saw Albert standing in front of her, she finally realized where she was seeing as there would've been no reason for him to show up at her place.

She then gasped once she realized all she was wearing was one of Buck's shirts. "Uhm, hey... Albert." she greeted with an awkward smile.

"I, uh, forgot my key." Albert said. Though he didn't seem to be feeling as awkward as Rylin did. Instead he had a knowing grin on his face. Buck then came downstairs, joining the two.

"Albert." Buck said as if he almost forgot Albert lived with him. "Hey."

Albert laughed before throwing up his two thumbs. "Congrats, guys." he chuckled before walking into the bathroom.

Rylin and Buck glanced at each other before breaking out into laughter.

"LAFD." Bobby announced the team arrived to a house they'd been called to.

"Dispatch said the patient was unconscious." Buck said.

"They also said it was a smart home." Bobby said. They all looked up to a camera pointed at them.

"Welcome, Los Angeles Fire Department." a voice said as the front door opened.

"Am I the only one really creeped out right now?" Hen asked. Rylin immediately shook her head as everyone replied with a no.

Entering the bathroom, they immediately saw a man lying unconscious on the shower floor. Hen and Chim assisted him immediately. Rylin decided to move back to the front entrance to help Buck and Eddie.

"Now, who would want to live like this?" Eddie said as he and Buck pushed a gurney through the house. "Cameras and microphones everywhere, not knowing who's watching or listening."

"Hate to break it to you, Eddie," Buck said "but if you got a computer or smartphone, smart TV, smart anything, really, then anyone can spy on you."

Eddie sighed as he looked at the camera by the front door.

"Oh, don't say that." Rylin laughed. "Now he's gonna throw away every electronic he owns."

"Now I'm thinking I shouldn't buy that fancy smart coffee maker I keep seeing commercials for." Eddie said.

"Hello, Eddie."

"Why does this house keep talking?" Rylin asked as she looked around for the source of the voice. She and the two men beside her gave their attention to a screen on the wall.

"Here are some popular coffee makers." the voice continued. The screen then showed a variety of coffee makers. "Would you like to hear the reviews?"

"Okay, I see why he's freaked out." Rylin said after seeing the distraught look on Eddie's face.

"Welcome to the future." Buck whispered.
