Season 3, Episode 2
"Sink or Swim"

A tsunami. A tsunami was what Rylin saw the second she made her way out of the store. It was coming straight towards the Santa Monica pier.

"Everyone off the pier now! Get to high gound!" Rylin shouted as she began running with the crowd.

She almost made it off the pier when the water washed over the shops. She used all the energy she had to move faster, but the water was faster than her  and eventually washed over her too.

When she came to, she immediately heard gut wrenching screams, begging for someone to help them. She also heard the screams of her best friend. She figured out quickly that he didn't make it off the pier and was now looking for Christopher.

She looked at her surroundings and saw she was on top of a car. She moved carefully to try and see better, but almost fell into the water after a piercing pain shot through her head. Touching her forehead, she felt a piece of raw skin. She brought her hand down and immediately knew she was bleeding at the sight of fresh blood on her fingers.

She sighed as she pulled herself up and kept herself balanced for as long as she could. As soon as she did she could see Christopher holding on to a tree, calling out for Buck to hear him.

She saw that Buck was making his way to Christopher. She watched as the two reached out their hands, but Buck missed because he was being pulled away by the currents of the ocean.

Without thinking, Rylin immediately jumped into the water and made her way over to Christopher.

"Chris, it's me. It's Rylin. I got you." she panted as she grabbed Christopher. As soon as she did, she could no longer fight the currents because she was too focused on making sure Christopher doesn't let go of her.

"Buck a little help?" she struggled as the currents pushed them towards Buck.

"I got you." Buck said as he grabbed Christopher out of Rylin's arms after noticing she was struggling to hold him and keep her head above water.

They kept swimming for a little bit until Buck put Christopher on top of a firetruck that had been submerged halfway into the water.

"What are you doing?" Rylin asked.

Not saying a word, he looked in the direction they came from. A pile of many things was coming towards them.

There wasn't much time for Buck and Rylin to get themselves onto the firetruck, so they each put a hand on the truck, and one on each other as they pulled themselves underwater, waiting for everything to pass over them.

"Can you pull youself up?" Buck asked. Rylin attempted the action but she could barely do it. Buck was quick to help her get onto the truck, soon pulling himself up. They all sat there trying to catch there breath as they watched the immense amount of ocean water flowing through the pier.

Buck looked at Rylin a few minutes later. "How's your head?" he asked.

"Fine." she said. "There's no doubt I have a concussion, though."

"You okay, Chris?" Rylin asked, diverting their attention to the boy in Buck's arms.

"Yep. I took surfing lessons." Christopher replied, making Buck and Rylin laugh.
