Season 5, Episode 5
"Peer Pressure"

"118, we still have an open cellular line. Just hearing faint sounds of traffic and a semi-truck's horn." the team listened to dispatch as they arrived to the scene they were called to. "Distant but not that distant. Subject is possibly near the I-5 freeway."

"Dispatch, 118 on scene." Bobby replied. "Are we sure about this?

"118, it did not sound like a prank. They're out there."

"All right, let's spread out and search." Bobby ordered.

"LAFD!"

"Fire Department!"

"LAFD! Anyone out here?"

"Anybody see anything?" Bobby radioed.

"Nothing." Hen said.

"Sorry, Cap!" Eddie shouted.

"We got nothing." Rylin added.

"Wait, who said that?" Dispatch asked. "Who said, 'Sorry, Cap' and 'We got nothing?'"

"Firefighter Diaz and Grace." Rylin replied.

"We didn't say that in the radio." Eddie added.

"Yeah, but I heard it anyway, on the victim's phone."

"Everybody, with Eddie and Rylin." Bobby shouted."

Eddie and Rylin searched their surroundings. It took a few minutes, but when something caught Rylin's eye, she tapped Eddie on the shoulder and pointed towards what she saw.

"Got a visual!" Eddie yelled.

"Oh, God." Ravi said as he joined the duo, soon followed by the rest of the team. Everyone saw a man laying on the ground with a chainsaw stuck in his neck.

"Chain saw must've hit a knot to cause it to kick back so hard." Eddie informed. "Wedged it into his collerbone."

"Buck, Ravi, we're gonna need to removed that blade from the motor." Bobby said.

"Oh, I don't think..." Ravi trailed off, looking like he was going to throw up. Rylin patted him on the back, basically telling him it's okay for him to step away.

"Probie, if you're gonna vomit, do it somewhere else." Buck said.

"Copy." Ravi said, running away. Rylin took that as her queue to step in for Ravi.

"Alive. Barley." Hen said once Rylin, Buck, and Bobby joined her and Eddie. "His heart rate's elevated. Blade must've nicked his carotid, but at least it's giving us just enough pressure to prevent him from bleeding out immediately."

"All right, Buck, Rylin's got the weight, you've got to disassemble when you're done there." Bobby said as Buck wrapped the man's neck in gauzes.

"Got it?" Buck asked Rylin before he disassembled the saw.

"Uh-huh." Rylin nodded, not making eye contact with him. Buck paused for a second before he took out a screw from the saw. Rylin quickly, but carefully, pulled the body of the saw off of the blade.
