Season 4, Episode 6
'Jinxed'

"MADISON ABRAMS, WHERE IS SHE?" Rylin asked the first doctor she saw in the ER.

"Are you her family?" the doctor asked.

"Pretty much." Sarah told him.

"I'm sorry, I can only let immediate family see her." the doctor said. "COVID protocols."

Everyone groaned in annoyance. However, they weren't annoyed for much longer because Buck grabbed the clipboard out of the doctor's hands, reading the list of names in each bed.

"Bed 3." he told them. They all moved quickly towards the direction Buck told them to go in. Sarah pulled open the curtain and saw Madison sitting on the bed.

Buck immediately got flashbacks from the night she had stayed at his place. She was once again covered in bruises and blood. Only this time, it was worse. He didn't think it could get worse than before.

"Are you her family?" a woman stood beside Madison's bedside asked.

"They're my friends." Madison told the woman. "I called them."

The woman nodded. The trio on the other side of Madison wondered who that woman was and what she was doing with their friend.

"I'm Lily Marks." the woman said. "I'm Madison's social worker."

"I don't understand." Sarah said, waiting for a better explanation.

"Mads, your father did this to you, didn't he?" Buck asked. She nodded in response.

"Why would he even do this to you?" Sarah asked. Tears filled her eyes as she studied her best friend's brusied face.

"He's a drunk, Sarah." Madison said. "That's what most drunk dads do to their teenage daughters.

Madison chuckled. "I'd probably be dead right now if my neighbors hadn't heard me screaming for help."

Buck sighed as he placed a hand on Madison's shoulder. His heart broke for her. She grabbed onto his hand and squeezed it, thankful he was there.

"He was arrested once the police showed up." Lily informed them. "I came here just a few minutes before you all showed up. I'm trying to get a hold of her family members."

"Even though I told her no one will take me in." Madison added. "Mom's dead, I haven't seen my aunts and uncles since I was a kid, so they probably don't even remember I exist, therefore they probably wouldn't want me to live in their home. No one will care. No one will let me stay with them."

"You don't know that." Lily said as she went to call another one of Madison's family memers. It went straight to voicemail.

"Told you." Madison said.

"She can stay with me." Buck blurted. Everyone turned their heads to look at him. He gulped. "Well, I mean, Madi will be 18 in like seven months, then it won't matter who she lives with. She'll be an adult. I can let her stay with me."

"What about Albert?" Madison asked him.

"He's finding his own place." Buck told her. "Even if he didn't move out anytime soon, I'd sleep on the floor just so you have somewhere comfortable to sleep."
