Season 4, Episode 4
'9-1-1, What's Your Grievance'

"WHERE'S BUCK? IS HE JOINING US?" Bobby asked as Eddie and Rylin made their way upstairs.

"On the phone with Dr. Copeland." Eddie informed.

"Emergency therapy session." Rylin added with a shrugged.

"Again?" Bobby asked.

"Yeah." Eddie said. "He had to ask her for advice on some, uh, de-escalation techniques."

"What, is he afraid his parents' visit is gonna turn into a hostage situation?" Bobby asked.

"His parents are visiting?" Rylin asked, looking at Chim.

"What?" he asked before he dropped the silverware in his hands. "I assumed he'd already told you."

"Huh." Rylin said, but shrugged. She was aware that his parents aren't the greatest, so she assumed he wanted to calm down after finding out they're visiting before telling her.

"What do you think they're like?" Hen asked. "The parents, I mean. I mean, I look at Maddie... and then I look at Buck, and I'm like... There's a story there."

"You have no idea." Chim mumbled under his breath. Everyone looked at him. "None of us have any idea. Just too bad, 'cause you know... if we all knew, we could talk about what we know, and then we'd all know it. No one would be stuck keeping anything to themselves, alone, with no one to talk to about some potentially explosive information they really wish they didn't know."

"Chim, you good?" Rylin asked with a laugh.

"I gotta go." he said before sprinting away and then sliding down the pole.

"Do we even wanna know what that was about?" Eddie asked.

"No." Bobby shook his head.

"Definitely not." Hen said.

"Kinda." Rylin said.

"They're here already?" Buck asked after there was a knock on the door. When he opened it, he thought he'd see his parents, but instead he saw his girlfriend.

"Did you forget about me or something, Evan?" Rylin asked as she walked inside.

"I was gonna tell you." Buck said. "I just kinda forgot because, well, you're my girlfriend now and they're my parents."

"I'm not following." Rylin said, placing a hand on her hip.

"Well, you know my parents aren't great." Buck said.

Rylin nodded. "Yeah, so's my mom, but that's not news to anybody."

"It's just, you're kinda the first girl I've ever considered introducing to my parents." Buck said. "I don't want to mess something up and then have them hate you."

"Hate me? That's what you're worried about?" Rylin asked. "I can handle whatever your parents may or may not say about me. It'll be fine."
