Season 3, Episode 9
'Fallout'

"So she shoots him and then takes him back?" Eddie asked as he brought plates from dinner over to the sink. Buck had invited Eddie, Chris, and Rylin over for dinner and was filling Eddie and Rylin in on Maddie's recent adventures.

"Yeah." Buck nodded as he grabbed beers from the fridge.

"And I thought my marriage was complicated." Eddie said.

"It is. Their marriage is just absolutely insane and unhealthy." Rylin said as she took a sip of beer. She made a disgusted face once she tasted it. "How do you guys like this stuff?"

Buck laughed as he grabbed a coke from the fridge. Rylin smiled once he gave it to her.

"How's your sister taking it?" Eddie asked.

"It's kind of rough on her." Buck said. "You know, I think she thought she could save Tara from Vincent, but, you know, she's realizing that you can't save someone from themselves, not if they don't want it."

"Ain't that the truth." Eddie said.

"Especially if you aren't around to see that they need saving." Buck said. Rylin sighed once she realized what he was talking about .

"Look, I'm sorry I wasn't there, Eddie." Buck said. "You and Chris needed me, and Rylin, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you either. You were there for me literally every day after my surgery and I completely shut you out because I had my head so far up my own behind with that stupid lawsuit-"

"We're way past that, Buck." Eddie said, cutting Buck off.

"I'm not." Buck said. "I should've been there. Maybe I could have... talked some sense into you."

"You talk sense into me?" Eddie laughed. "Don't worry, Rylin took care of that for you."

"You're welcome." Rylin said, taking a sip of her soda. "Though, it would've been interesting to know what your definition of talking sense into someone is."

"I told him not to buy that truck." Buck said.

"Yeah, you'd have talked me into buying something more expensive." Eddie said.

"Yeah, fair point." Buck said.

"Look, things got a little out of hand for us. Don't beat yourself up about it." Eddie said.

"Why, 'cause you'd rather do it?" Buck said. Rylin laughed.

"Excuse me?"

"Come on, Eddie." Buck said. "If you're not gonna be honest with Frank, at least be honest with me."

"Who said I wasn't honest with Frank?" Eddie asked nervously.

"You said you two weren't clicking." Buck said.

"Maybe I'm just not a therapy kind of guy."

"Right, right, you prefer to work it out in the ring." Buck said, mocking Eddie.

"There was no ring, Buck. There was a fence." Eddie told him,
