"This is not every department head!I said every department head.Pierce, where's Grey?" Bailey says to Maggie.

"I haven't seen her all morning." Maggie tells her while she looks at Aurora who quickly shrugs her shoulders in response.

"You don't want her mood here." Alex says to them sat beside his sister while Bailey looks at Rory.

"Your husband?" Bailey asks with the a tense expression while Rory scoffs at her causing Alex to chuckle lightly.

"I simply married the man I'm not his keeper." Rory grumbled while Alex looked at her for a moment while Jackson came running down the stairs.

"Sorry I'm late." Jackson apologised before running into Maggie who stopped him quickly.

"Oh, wait, wait." Maggie stopped Jackson quickly adjusting his colour while Rory looked up slightly watching for a brief moment before quickly turning away.

"Thank you." He nodded awkwardly before shooting a look towards his wife who was not watching him. He stood beside Maggie and Arizona.

"$15.8 million in repairs?" Harper Avery complains to Catherine looking around at the hospital.

"Insurance covered most of that." Catherine ensured him.

""Most" is not all." He says to her.

"Look, we took the opportunity of the fire to address some design elements that needed updating." Catherine says to him while Rory and Alex tried not to laugh at Bailey sorting everyone out.

"Design elements?" He questioned.

"Yes." Catherine says to him.

"Hello, Dr. Avery.I am Chief Miranda..." Bailey says to him.

"Bingy. I remember you. What is this... window dressing?Don't you people have jobs to do?" He asks them causing Jackson, Rory and Alex to smirk to themselves watching the interaction.

"He doesn't like crowds." Bailey says to Jackson.

"Nope." Jackson tells her smirking before he turns to find Rory but she had already headed off causing the man to sigh in response.

Rory finished checking her phone before she felt a hand grabbing her wrist and pulling her into the scan room. "Amelia." She exclaimed before turning to the scans that were displayed on the screen.

"That's a huge Meningioma." Rory murmured before her eyes fell upon the name in the corner of the screen. Rory quickly turned to Amelia who looked at her with a small smile.

"CT, MRI, biopsy results all confirm it is a benign Grade I Meningioma.I have it up on the board." Amelia mumbled while Rory looked between her and the scans trying to find some way to respond.

"What? What are you wanting to do now?" Rory questioned trying to work out what was going on while she looked at Amelia.

"I need you to remove my tumour." Amelia spoke clearly while Rory whipped her head back to the scans.

"You want me to remove it? Surely there's someone you trust more." Rory tried to reason not sure how she would operate on her friend but also Derek's little sister.

"I do not trust anyone more than I would trust you. Derek trained you. I need you to do this for me. I need you to be my surgeon." Amelia says looking at her friend who nods slightly before speaking up.

"I'll do it but I'm doing it my way. You're the patient now Amelia I can't have your input at every moment. I need to this my way." Rory offers before Amelia looks between Rory and Deluca.

"Your way is fine." She mumbled before Rory looked at the scans one again.

"Uh, I need an MR angio to check the venous-outflow and the tumor vasculature." Rory says while Amelia nodded in response.

"Yeah, I have a consult in a half an hour." Amelia tried to exuse before Rory shook her head at her friend and co worker.

"You've got a grapefruit-sized tumour on your frontal lobe. Your plans, your judgment, your decision-making,your impulse control... it's all tumor. You understand? You will not see another patient until I have removed it." Rory ordered looking at Amelia who looked slightly frustrated.
~
Rory and Amelia had finished talking to Richard before determining Amelia would not deal with anymore patients until she was tumour free. The tumour had looked to be growing for over 10 years.

Rory had looked over Amelia's newest scans trying to figure out her plan on how to operate on Amelia's tumour. Rory knew she would have to work late working on Amelia's tumour so she went to find Jackson.

She found him looking rather tense while she approached him. "Are you okay to sort this kids out tonight? I've got this really important case and I'm going to stay late to work out my next steps." Rory says while Jackson looks up at her for a brief moment.

"I think I'm capable of putting our children to bed on my own. I've done it many times before. Is this all you wanted just that I'm actually needed elsewhere?" Jackson grumbled while Rory glared at him slightly confused completely by his attitude.

"What is wrong with you? What have I done to make you so pissed off?" Rory snapped at him while a couple of the nurses turned towards them.

"We aren't not doing this now." He snapped back before walking off while Rory sighed trying to control her anger towards him.
~
Rory sat in the daycare playing with Tommy while Jackson walked in heading towards the two of them. "I thought you were staying late to work." He mumbled setting his bag down and sitting at the opposite side of their son.

"I am I just want say goodnight. I'm sorry about your grandfather." Rory mumbled after Alex had found her to tell her Harper Avery had passed away in the hospital.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for acting like a jerk lately." He mumbled looking towards his wife who looked up at him.

"I don't understand what's going on Jackson. You're angry all the time." Rory mumbled causing the man she loved to sigh in response.

"I don't even know. All I know is that I'm sorry and I really want my wife back. It just feels like we're completely out of touch lately. We barely see each other if we do it's to discuss the kids or work. It feels more like we're separated than we are married." Jackson finally admitted before Rory looked towards him.

"I know. I guess we have taken the backseat to everything else in life lately. But we can change that we always come back stronger." Rory smiled before Jackson shifted towards her pressing his lips against hers.

"That we do." He smiled slightly at her. The two eventually went their separate ways while Rory when to prepare Amelia for surgery and Jackson headed home to sort the children.
