David: "Hilarious! Look at the way you flip over! Haha!"

He wheezed and fell to the floor while a video kept playing on repeat from his phone.
I glared at him.

David: "Hey, I'm not the one who recorded it. I wasn't even there... But I wish I was! Mwahahh!"

"Ugh."

Someone had caught my little accident from the gym on camera. And uploaded it to a social platform called YTube. So stupid.

David: "Aw, don't be mad, bro. You're famous! And think of all the people who will feel better after laughing at you!"

Mandy: "It's really not that nice to laugh at people. He could've gotten hurt."

"Thank you."

She entered the room and held my face.

Mandy: "You sure you're okay? You're lucky you didn't break anything."

"I'm alright."

I put her hands down softly.
David leaned on a shelf and grinned like an idiot.

David: "I'm David, by the way. But you can call me... anytime."

Mandy looked at him as if he was a skunk rat that escaped jail.

Mandy: "Um, yeah. Anyways so.."

David got rid of his stupid grin and looked sad.

Mandy: "Did you get checked out? A fall like that can be serious."

David: "If you want, I could check you out, pretty lady..."

She gave him the nastiest side eye I'd ever seen.
Even I wanted to smack him.
He had no flirting skill whatsoever.

"The doctor said I'll be fine. Don't worry. Actually, I have to start getting ready."

Mandy: "Ready for what?"

"I-"

Heather: "He has a date~"

"Heather!"

Mandy: "With Nolan?!"

Heather: "Yes!"

There was suddenly an "eeeee" sound coming from both of the girls. David and I just stood awkwardly and waited for it to end.

Mandy: "You guys are back together?"

"Well-"

Heather: "Yes!"

They did the "eeeEe" thing again.
My ears begged me to cut them off.

"Nolan and I are going on a date, yes. But it's not supposed to be public knowledge. We're just giving us a second chance. We just want to figure it out for ourselves. Quietly."

David: "Maybe you could give us a chance, hm?"

He leaned closer to Mandy and tried to grab her hand. She smacked his hand away like a boss and gave him the up-down look that clearly said "ew".

I couldn't defend him anymore.
He had to be stopped.

From what I knew, Mandy was never interested in men. But not because she was gay. In fact, she was even straighter than Obama's teeth. The issue was that she had high standards and had no intentions of dropping them. I wasn't sure David met those standards. He'd definitely need some fixing before Mandy would even consider it.

"Well, I'm gonna go now. David's gotta go, too. He has a.. thing."

David: "Yeah, a thing for her~"

"No. You don't."
