Being woken up in the middle of the night is not something Jack is particularly fond of. However, when that certain someone wakes him up in such a cute tone of voice, how could he ever be mad?
"Jack..." He whispers.
Jack inhales and hums as he comes to his senses.
"Scoot over." He nudges him.
The curly head sits up, utterly confused, and opens his eyes. It was Zach. The memories start rushing into him.
"Cmon, scoot." He pushes him again.
"Let's just go to my bed." Jack whines.
Zach shakes his head. "I heard a noise."
"I'll scare whatever it is away. Cmon, it's more comfortable in bed." He takes him by the hand to his bed.
Jack plops unceremoniously onto it, and Zach lays on the side farthest away from the door. Jack then tugs him closer. "I'll scare the noise away." He hums.
The brunet holds tightly onto him. Jack falls asleep again in an instant. He snores a bit, but it distracts Zach's mind away from the noise he heard.
For the first time in a year and a half, Zach falls asleep before the sun rises.
What wakes him up after that is the brightness coming through the door hitting his face. He groans and slowly rubs his eyes open. Zach finally opens his eyes and sees Jack still sleeping. He turns around and backs up closer to him to serve as a little spoon.
Jack hums and wraps an arm around his waist, pulling him closer. He stuffs his nose in his neck and hums. "Uhm, you smell nice."He mumbles quietly. He smells of vanilla and Jack's cologne, mixed with the distinct smell of coffee that seems to be present in the apartment.
Zach covers his neck. "That tickles." He whines.
Jack yawns as he squeezes him in his arms. "Morning." He greets him with a kiss on the cheek.
The brunet turns to him and greets him with a soft smile. "Morning." He yawns.
Jack goes to press a kiss on his lips, but Zach covers his own mouth and shakes his head. "Morning breath."
"Yeah, and I have it too." Jack raises an eyebrow. "Your point?"
"I'm all gross, I probably have make-up all over my face and on your pillow." He groans.
Jack chuckles. "You seriously think that with three sisters, I wouldn't remember to wipe your make-up off?" He presses a kiss onto his cheek again. "Give me a little discount." He nudges his nose against his. "I'm trying to impress you here."
They laugh quietly.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Jack questions. "Or do you prefer to head downstairs and eat in the café?"
Zach hums. "I don't really eat breakfast." He confesses. "What time is it?"
Jack pats his pants and looks at his nightstand. "Fuck, it's the living room." He uncovers himself, revealing that he is in fact, shirtless, and quickly goes to the living room.
The brunet blushes heavily. He slept next to Jack while he was shirtless. Ugh, keep it together! Imagine how it will be when you two -
"It's nine thirty-seven." Jack announces from the living room.
Zach shakes the thought out his head and, too, stands up. He was a bit more composed than Jack. He was still wearing a t-shirt and the sweatpants he gave him. He stretches and groans.
He follows Jack's voice into the living room, and there he grabs his phone. The curly head plops down onto his couch. "Are you sure you don't want anything to eat?"He asks again. "I make some killer French toast. With extra butter."
