Zach scrunches his nose when he feels something tickle it.
"Hey, pretty, time to wake up." Jack's sweet voice was heard.
He groans. "Five more minutes, honey." He nuzzles his head onto his pillow.
Jack kisses his cheek lovingly as he sits on the bed. "You're lucky you're cute."
Zach smiles. "I thought I was pretty." He slurs.
"All the adjectives that mean beautiful are meant to describe you." He combs his fingers through his hair.
The brunet faces upwards and stretches. He finally opens his eyes and sees Jack, holding a big bouquet of pink roses.
"Happy birthday, beautiful." He smiles softly. "I would've gotten you peonies, but they're out of season." Jack pouts.
Zach sits up and throws himself onto him, kissing him like his life depended on it. Jack holds onto the headboard so he doesn't fall. He parts the kiss, a smile on his face. "I love it, thank you!" Zach is quick to press his lips on his again.
Jack wraps his arms around him as he holds onto his face. He slowly lays him down and sets the bouquet on the nightstand.
He parts the kiss. "And because I have to distract you until everything is ready," he takes off his shirt, "let's start your birthday celebrations the right way." He winks.
Zach furrows his eyebrows but quickly realises what Jack means when he manhandles him to lay on his stomach. "Jack, your -"
He moves close to his ear. "We're alone. Do with that information what you will."

After Zach reached a new plane of existence, the couple showered, and Jack fed him breakfast in bed. The curly head picked a cute little outfit for him and even helped him tend for his piercings.
Then, he was taken to Jack's car, buckled up, and driven to his own house. "You do know I can buckle my own seatbelt and open my own doors -"
"It's your birthday. You're supposed to be treated like the prince that you are." He shrugs as he rests a hand over his thigh.
Zach wore a white tanktop with one of Jack's short sleeved button-ups and a pair of jeans.
The curly head returns his look to the road. "Gosh, you're so beautiful." He smiles.
He blushes lightly. "You should focus on driving." He reminds him. "But thank you, I think you're very handsome as well." He rests his hand over his.
"Here."Jack hands him his phone. "You have to watch the video I took of you last night."
"Oh god, is it gonna be embarrassing?" He takes his phone and smiles when he sees that Jack's wallpaper is a picture of them at Zach's graduation. He unlocks it with his fingerprint and smiles even more widely when he sees that his other wallpaper is a picture of Zach with his mom and sisters.
"Don't snoop around. You're gonna ruin your surprise. Just watch the video, silly." Jack chuckles.
"I'm not snooping around, I just think your wallpapers are cute. I was appreciating them!" He scoffs as he opens the video in question.
Zach watches the video with a big smile.
"Cute, right?" Jack hums.
"Did you kiss me after the video?"
"Of course." He confirms. "Why would I ever deny my pretty boyfriend a kiss?" Jack parks the car in his driveway.
Zach presses a kiss onto his cheek. "I love you."
