Their adaptation to the twins was turning out to be a bit simpler than what they expected. The twins hardly ever cried.
They had set up a system that would help them sleep throughout most of the night, scarcely waking up. They would bathe them, and ten in the night, they would feed them, burp them, and lull them to sleep. The twins slept peacefully in the same crib until six in the morning. Exactly when Zach has to wake up to get to school in time.
Obviously, it was exhaustive. They had no breaks, especially Jack. He would stay with them and Gabriela all day, using their naps as a way of studying. Then, Zach would get home, clean around, and heat up the meals he would prepare during the weekend.
Gabriela could move and do more. She would wash some dishes and help them fold some laundry. Nothing that would require much effort because she can't do it just yet. She studies alongside Jack, neither saying much.
However, today, things would be different. It was Valentine's. Zach had left very specific instructions for Sydnie and Ava to assure they wouldn't disrupt their routines.
Jack had made a reservation in a nice restaurant.
The two had put on their best clothes, and Jack had a bouquet of roses in his car. Zach had put on the pearl earrings he gifted him and some perfume he thought Jack would like.
Jack hums as he moves closer to him. "You smell nice." He sniffs him. "Really nice." He kisses his neck. "Let's cancel the dinner reservation."
Zach chuckles and turns to him. "We could, but I wanna go on a date with you."He pouts.
The curly head pecks him. "A little bird told me there's a little surprise waiting for you in the car." He kisses him yet again.
"Oh yeah? Well, a little birdie told me to tell you to check your blazer pocket, handsome." He winks and rushes out of the room.
Jack pats his pockets and pauses when he feels something in his left inner pocket. He stuffs his hand in it, and his eyes widen. Jack takes it out, and he feels his face growing red. He holds it up with two hands. The black panties were practically just strings with a small bit of lace.
As someone who has barely had any action ever since the kids were born, Jack felt his mouth go dry. He promptly adjusts himself and shoves the pair back in his pocket. He heads to the living room.
Zach was there talking to Sydnie as he held Jane. Jack kisses both twins as usual. "Zach and I have to go. We have a reservation." He wraps a hand around his waist and tugs him out of the apartment.
"Call us if you need something!" Zach chuckles.
Jack puts on his jacket as the weather is still cold. He pins him to the wall. "If I could, you'd be screaming my name already."
"My parent's place is probably empty."
The curly head checks his wristwatch. "We have half an hour to get to the restaurant."
"That's enough time." He smirks.

The couple breathes heavily and looks at each other, chuckling afterwards. Both were thoroughly satisfied.
"We are nailing this whole sex thing." Jack comments, making both laugh.
Zach checks the time. "We're ten minutes late already."
"Once they look at you and see how beautiful you are, they'll understand." He kisses his hand.
"Don't butter me up for another round, Mister." He smiles. "My handsome man." He pecks him.
