Chapter 9
Libby
I had to admit, they did a pretty great job of setting the camp up. It looked amazing! I perched on a log next to Kyle and Megan, hugging Kyle like I always did. From across the fire I saw George clench his fists and I rolled my eyes in amusement.
I went to sit next to George when we toasted our marshmallows and drank hot chocolate warmed on the fire. His arms was around my waist and since every other boy was doing that too I didn't feel so uncomfortable.
The group chatted about the dance but nobody bought up the anything afterwards on the pier which I was thankful of. I really didn't want to relive that evening in particular.
I looked round the circle and watched each of the couples smiling to myself. Karlie was sat on Oscar's lap laughing and joking around with him. I snapped out of my daydream, hearing my name being shouted by more than one voice.
"Libby!!!"
"Sorry." I laughed.
"She was daydreaming about me, weren't you Lib?" George teased.
I tried to smile but instead felt the temperature in my cheeks rise causing everyone to laugh. I joined in eventually and gave George a dig in the ribs smirking at him.
"OK let's play truth or dare!!" Natalie said when it began to get dark.
Everyone agreed so we made another circle away from the fire so we could spin a bottle.
"Libby asks Oscar!" Danielle shouted.
"Truth or dare?" I asked him.
"Truth."
I grin twitched on my lips. "What do you intend to do with my best friend?"
He looked mortally embarrassed as everyone laughed and him and then waited patiently for an answer.
"I don't know... I suppose love her forever."
"Awwwww," We all chorused.
The bottle span again. "Rob asks Megan!" Megan chose a truth.
"Do you like Kyle more than a friend?"
This was a question everyone wanted to hear answered. Megan blushed a bright shade of crimson. We all knew her answer but wanted her to admit it out loud.
"We need a forfeit if they don't do it!" Chris piped up.
"OK. How about if you don't do it you have to skinny dip?" Rob suggested gaining several moans and giggles. We all agreed it was a good idea.
"OK then fine." Megan gave in. "Yes. I like Kyle."
Another round of "Awwww's and "I knew it's!" could he heard. Kyle pulled her closer to him and I winked.
"Thank you for everything." he mouthed from opposite me.
I smiled in return.
The game carried on and there were some crazy dares. It came to me.
"Chris asks Libby!" they shouted.
My heart sank and I looked to the floor. This wasn't going to be pretty. Of all the people it had to be Chris.
"Truth." I said.
"You can't chose a truth, we've had too many!" Chris said and everyone agreed. I tried to protest but its pretty hard when its nine verses one. I gave in with no other choice.
"Kiss George."
Silence. Did I just hear than right?
"Don't be stupid, I'm not going to do that..."
