Chapter 19

Enjoy! x

I sat frozen staring aimlessly at the information that was projected in front of me. Algebra was like a foreign language to me, i swear. My head throbbed and my eyes stung. Worse of all, Lily, who was sat to my right, was flying through this work like it was a piece of cake. i assumed her intelligence was similar to Einstein's before she could walk. I sighed.

'Are you OK Libby, you haven't been settled the whole lesson?' the sound of Miss Murphy's voice echoed through the shabby classroom, faces became visible and all eyes were on me. Great.

'Actually, please could i go and get some water?' My cheeks warmed. Miss Murphy nodded and i evacuated from the room, trying my best to hide my face.

The corridors were desolate and in a way, slightly eirey. I pushed open the bathroom door and ambled over to the sinks and mirrors. I tuned on the tap and splashed my face with the cold water that ran out of it. I raised my head and flinched at the reflection i saw. What was wrong with me? I must be tired. It couldn't be anything else. I shook my head quickly, took a deep breath, pulled back my shoulders and headed back to the maths room.

Carried by the flow of my classmates rushing out of the lesson, i reached the canteen. Two large hands were placed on each of my shoulders. I smiled inwardly to myself knowing it was Will.

'What was up with you in maths then?' He said when the silence became painful.

'You heard that huh?'

He nodded.

'Already? Wow, news does travel fast here.'

'So...?' Worry lines formed on his forehead an in his ocean blue eyes that made my insides melt.

'Nothing, nothing at all. I just needed some fresh air.'

'Are you sure?'

'Im sure.'

'Ok then, lets go eat.'

He stole my cold hand, squeezing it lightly and lead me to one of the long tables in the food hall. I perched on the edge of my chair.

'Where's your lunch?'

'I'm not hungry,' i said bluntly.

'Your not going to starve yourself because i won't let you,' he smirked standing up and wrapping his long arms around my empty stomach.

'I'm hardly starving myself by skipping one meal.' i huffed at him impatiently.

'Whatever.' He rolled his eyes.

'Screw you too,' i winked.

'Oh yeah before i forget, i need you to come back to mine after school tonight.'

'And what if i say no?' i laughed, folding my arms across my chest.

'Lets just say i'm so much stronger than you and i know every one of your weak spots.'

'OK OK, ill come.'

Will chortled under his breath, picked up his sandwich wrapper and tossed it in the rubbish bin that sat in the middle of the hall. Looking around the large room, i saw it closely resembled a zoo. Well it did to someone with an imagination like mine anyway.

Will

I knew something was up with Libby and it bothered me that she couldn't face telling me. wasn't I the one who was supposed to help her in times like these?
