I rolled over to look at Karlie who was in the same state as me. We groaned together and rolled back over. I waited for my eyes to adjust and then rubbed out the sleep. I stretched out my arms and legs and moaned when my joints clicked. Karlie giggled and I threw a pillow onto her face making her yell. We both frowned at each other for a few seconds, but after smiles twitched on our lips we burst into a fit of laughter.

We made the beds and cleared up the clothes from the floor. I grabbed by towel and waited for the water to warm up in the shower. I got inside and let the water warm me up from head to toe. As weird as is sounded, the shower was the place I could think properly. The sound of the water was relaxing and nobody was there to interrupt me in thought. Today it just didn't seem to work. I closed my eyes but nothing came to my mind. Maybe there was something wrong with me? I smiled to myself; I really do have some silly thoughts sometimes.

I washed my hair and picked out my clothes whilst Karlie had a shower. Although we were going shopping I didn't want to dress up too much but I didn't want to look sloppy either. I took out my denim shorts and a short patterned top that seemed to match well. I slung a long necklace over my neck and decided to leave it at that. When I had finished with my clothes I did my hair and makeup, leaving it simple.

Whilst Karlie finished getting ready I went downstairs to put together some breakfast. knowing my clumsiness, I took out the plates one at a time putting them down on the side. I managed to flip the pancakes without a mess and them plated them up drizzling syrup on the top. I clapped my hands together quite pleased with myself. Even the kitchen still look respectable and that was a first... with my cooking.

"Yum!" Karlie flopped into a chair and dug into her pancake. I did the same.

We downed our apple juice and then grabbed our bags from my room. We checked we had everything we needed for the day and then put on our shoes. I checked my phone and saw I had a message from Will. I opened it grinning like an idiot.

Hey Libs,

Can't wait to see you later. Not sure how I am going to cope spending six hours away from you. I love you beautiful.

Will xxx

It was official. Everything about him was perfect. My cheeks warmed.

"Awwwwww," Karlie cooed from over my shoulder.

"Hey nosy, I'm sure you get the same from Alex," I teased her.

"Shut up, let's go."

I put plates our plates into the sink and locked the door. The shops weren't too far from my house which was a positive. I suggested we went early to avoid the heat that was sometimes impossible to walk in.

"Any more on what your going to do with the Alex situation?"

Her smile vanished and I regretted saying it immediately. "Not yet..."

"I'm sure it'll all work out in the end." I squeezed her shoulder trying to reassure her.

When we finally got to the shops I showed Karlie my favourites. Luckily there were a few sales on which would hopefully save us some money. She seemed eager to try anything I suggested and got some great buys that I was jealous I didn't have for myself. . My favourite was a short summer dress that I was going to make her wear tonight.

I had found some black heels that I was sure I wouldn't be able to walk in, but I still wanted an outfit to wear later. We took basket loads into the changing rooms, trying on everything at least twice and taking pictures of the outcomes.

Next we scoured the sale racks but there was little luck there. I finally found a light dress that flowed down to mid thigh and then slightly longer at the back; it seemed appropriate for tonight and paired well with my heels. Although the price tag stung a little I convinced myself it was worth it.
