Chapter 21
Enjoy!
We munched on our cornflakes quickly, itching to go outside. The sun scorched through the window with no cloud in sight. I couldn't wait to show Karlie the rest of where i lived. At quarter to nine, i opened the garage and took out my board. Karlie took my brother's claiming that she'd been practicing back in England especially for my enjoyment. We packed sandwiches, sun block and our beach towels into a bag.
'Oh i have something for you,' i remembered. I handed Karlie a box tied with a ribbon. She concentrated opening the box and uniting the bow.
'Are you serious? Ray Bans?' Karlie screamed, her jaw nearly touching the floor.'
'Well i know you've always wanted some and they're pretty cheap here.' i smiled
'Thank you, thank you, thank you!'
She hugged me tightly. 'No problem.'
Walking down the road, i pointed out several of my favourite shops. I heard Karlie taking the mick to me side, laughing to herself. 'This is the shop where i bought my mints two months ago.'
I looked at her and laughed like we did at everything.
'Alex is a good surfer,' i said, after a while.
'Yeah? How do you know?' she asked me.
'We go down to the beach together sometimes and surf, we're pretty close.'
'What about Will?'
'When i first came he'd never really been surfing before. I taught him and he picked it up really quickly but his family goes away a lot so he's not always around.'
'Oh i see.' she smiled sweetly.
When we got down to the wall that overlooked the beach, we threw down our belongings and jumped down onto the sand. Karlie spotted the boys first and started to run towards them, carrying her board under her arm.
We lay down our towels next to the boys' and plastered ourselves in sun block.
'This reminds me of old times. There's even the pier too.' Karlie said pointing to the wooded obstruction in the distance.
'Yeah, i have to say my parents picked a pretty good spot.' i agreed.
Alex and Will were silent for a while listening to all of our favourite memories and frowning in confusion at our inside jokes, but laughing when we did. I could soon twll we were all hot and bothered.
'Does anyone want to join me in the water?' i aked.
Three sharp 'Yes'' shortly came after.
Karlie and i took off our tops and shorts leaving us standing sub-conciously in very revealing bikini's. Alex and Will took of thier tops. Karlie looked at Alex, but when i caught her staring, looked away smiling.
The boys turned around and laughed at our expessions and covering our tummys with our arms. We were not impressed. I grabbed Karlies hand and we stormed off to the steps. Knowing they wouldn't let us leave, i was not surprised when we were both flung over thier shoulders and left hanging there screaming and laughing.
We agreed to leave the surfing untill later and went down to the water. We managed to get knee deep without getting frost-bite when i had a brainwave that would wake all of us up. I smirked imagining their faces when they would find out what my in genius idea was.
'Follow me, there's an easier way to do this.'
I heard Alex behind me, 'Is she mad?'
I snatched Wills hand before he had time to resist, and pulled him behind me. We ran up some stone steps frantically that burnt our feet and onto a huge rock that stuck out several meters into the water. I shuffled to the edge and my arm was tugged back sharply.
