Chapter 18

Libby

I cracked the eggs with a knife and placed them in the frying pan that sat on the stove. I couldn't sleep and Will was still in bed so I'd decided to try and make breakfast. The toast popped from the toaster and the eggs sizzled in the pan. I was pretty impressed with my cooking skills, I'd never had them before.

I walked over to the table carrying a jug of ice cold water. Warm arms snaked around my waist, making me to jump and drop the glass jug. The glass shattered into thousands of pieces on the shiny Victorian titled floor.

"Shoot!" I yelled, looking at the mess around my bare feet. "Sorry Will!"

"No Libby, that was my fault. You scare so easily." Will teased.

I tried to move and winced when a shard of the glass plunged into my foot.

"Don't be stupid." Will said. "We'll clean this up later."

Will scooped me up and carried me over the mess in his shoes to the sofa.

"How's your foot?"

"OK"

"Stay right here." Will disappeared from the room, only for a short minute to return with a first aid kit. He wiped the cut clean and stuck a plaster over the now faint mark. "There, all better!"

"Thanks Will."

"My pleasure."

"I've got to be the clumsiest girl alive." my face fell into my hands.

"One of them." Will said. "But that's one of the things I love about you."

"How can you love a girl who literally stumbles her her way through her life, falling at every hurdle. "

"I guess because... what some people may see as your flaws, I see what makes you perfect."

A grin grew onto my face, stretching across both of my red cheeks. Will kissed me and pulled me protectively close to him. And it was the one place I felt safe.

I wriggled out of his grasp. "we'll be late for school if we don't hurry up."

"We could just ditch?" a smirk shone in his eyes.

"Sorry to disappoint but some people actually need to study."

Will and huffed so I knew I'd won immediately.

My week with Will went far to quickly and before I knew it, I was packing to go home. I folded my clothes and pressed them flat in the case so everything would fit. When I assumed everything was inside I climbed onto the bed and sat on the suitcase to force it shut. When that still didn't do much, I jumped whilst maneuvering the zip. Before I knew where I was, I toppled off the bed and onto the floor, sending my suitcase off the bed and landing upside down. I rubbed my throbbing head and arms. All of my possessions were scattered around the room. I took a deep sigh realising I had been watched.

"I wish I'd videoed that, we'd be millionaires." Will winked

I pouted my lips and stood up. "I'm not even going to say anything..." I said to the floor.

"You do make me laugh Libby. Lets go watch a movie before you go and we can sort your stuff out later."

i nodded my bruised head and followed Will into the living room.

After the film, Will helped me pack up my things just in time before the door bell rang.

"I'll get it." I said.

"OK" Will smiled.

I ran to the the hall and flung open the front door.

"Hey Libby! We missed you so much." In turn my parents hugged me.

"Come in. I'll just get my things." When everyone was in I shut the door and skipped off to Will's room.

"OK. you got everything?"

"uh hu." I nodded. Will carried my suitcase and leant it against the sofa.

Looking at my parents, I noticed my dad seemed tense.

"Its so good to see you again Will. Thank you so much for having Libby, thank your parents too."

"Its good to see you too Mandy. I will, it was a pleasure anyway." His gaze turned to me.

"Libby where did you get that bracelet, its beautiful?!" Mum snatched my hand admiring the sleek piece of jewellery resting on my skin.

"Valentine's day." I smiled.

"Well I never. You have been spoilt."

My dad butted it. "Hold on... I thought you were just friends."

everybody in the room went silent.

"Where did you sleep?"

I knew my dad would jump to conclusions.

"In Will's room, he has a spare bed." I shrugged

"Show me." he snapped.

"What?" Mum and I said simultaneously.

"Show me!" he repeated shouting this time.

"Fine."

My dad followed my to the room where there a bed with a mattress on the floor. I heard him grunt behind me.

"Happy?" I snapped

Nobody said Anything.

"Thank for having me Will, it was fun"

"Its fine, yeah it was." He smiled in return.

"See you at school then."

"Yeah, I'll see you."

I waited till my parents had buckled into the car and then told them I had forgotten something. I ran back inside, sneaking up of Will and hugging him from behind. He span around and kiss my lips. His hands worked their way from my back, up to my neck and then entangling themselves in my hair. He deepened the kiss and pushed me against one of the walls. My head started to spin and I pulled away hearing both of us gasping for breath.

"I told them I forgot something." I said, realising I would be going back to the car empty handed.

"Hold on."

Will disappeared quickly from the room and came back carrying a DVD. "I saw you eyeing this the other day, you might as well have it. Nobody round here will ever watch it."

"Thanks Will." I gave him a kiss goodbye and hopped into the car.
