We were waiting patiently on a leather sofa in the lobby watching the clock in anticipation. Why was it guys always moaned about us girls being late?

Katie looked gorgeous to say the least. Her dress was absolutely perfect on her figure and made her look like an absolute goddess. I chuckled to myself which caught her attention.

"What're you laughing at?"

"You!" I laughed even harder this time.

She pouted her glossy lips, "why?"

"You can't keep still."

She grinned but I knew she felt slightly embarrassed that I'd noticed. "I'm excited that's all."

Before I could reply I felt a light tap on my shoulder and a kiss on my cheek that started to warm. Damn he still had that effect on me. I stood up and walked to where he was stood behind the sofa, taking in his clean appearance. He looked good in a tux. So good. Even the bow tie. How the hell had he pulled that one off? He'd had a haircut too which added to the whole look. He smirked when he caught me staring. "That good huh?"

I pushed him playfully, "don't flatter yourself."

"Well for the record, you look beautiful."

My face burned up and I stumbled across the right response. "Thanks Will."

Even more blood rushed to the surface of my skin as he brushed my cheek with his hand. I closed my eyes and smiled inwardly trying to distract myself from the thoughts of leaving.

"We best make a move then," Alex said, breaking down the build up of silence.

Will nodded and took my clammy hand in his. "Yep, let's go."

Alex and Will led Karlie through the revolving doors at the entrance of the hotel and outside to a long line of up market cars picking up and dropping off rich strangers. We followed the pavement to a shot gun silver Rolls Royce that looked like a pound coin amongst worthless pennies. A chauffer approached us and tipped his hat to us which I have to admit was slightly weird. He was old, maybe in his mid sixties but he'd aged well, his face still full of life.

"Good evening Sir, Sir, Miss, Miss," he said to each of us in turn nodding his head.

I simply smiled in response not wanting to say or do the wrong thing. All of this was foreign to me. The chauffer opened one of the doors for us and we slid onto the backseat which could easily have accommodated five people, six at a push.

The dim lights and low him of the engine was making me feel drowsy, and as for Karlie... well she was spark out drooling on Alex's shoulder.

"Thank you," I whispered into Will's ear.

"What for?"

"For all of this."

He kissed my cheek, "you deserve it Li."

I smiled sheepishly trying to hold back the "awwww" that was prying open my lips. Instead I rested my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes until we arrived.

We pulled up at the restaurant, to me it looking slightly oriental, but then what would I know about architecture? The chauffer offered me his gloved hand and I took it without hesitation, smiling in appreciation as I climbed out of the Rolls Royce.

The smell hit me like I'd just stuck a toothbrush too far down my throat; I internally gagged. It was an oriental restaurant, my worst nightmare... Chinese food. I apologize to all of those Chinese food loving people out there, but honestly I couldn't think of anything worse, even the thought was repulsive.
