Chapter 15
Valentines day!
Will
I missed spending time with Libby yesterday but unfortunately I had to visit my uncle from out of town.
Libby always understood how important my family was to me and never tried to change it either.
I pulled on my shorts and tossed on a random T-shirt before making my way downstairs for breakfast. I knew today was going to be hot and rubbed some sun cream into my arms and legs.
My parents were still annoyed with me for being out so late on Saturday. Even after explaining the whole story I still think they thought I was lying.
I ate my breakfast whilst watching TV, something I usually didn't have time for. I slung my rucksack over onto my back and left the house.
With no time to spare once I arrived at school, I ran into registration and took my usual seat next to my mystery girl. Of all people, George came into my mind. I wondered whether he used to sit by Libby, or did he go and kiss girls at the back of the room making Libby watch.
"Hey." Libby whispered through the gap between our desks.
"Hey Libs," I whispered in return.
Once the bell had rung, I immediately grabbed her hand and began talking.
"Good news!" I said. Libby looked up smiling.
"Yeah?" she asked.
I nodded. "we've been invited to a valentines party this weekend."
She lost her perfect smile and I knew it wasn't good. "My parents are away and I have to say with a friend out of town."
"Oh. Doesn't matter don't worry. Its just a shame." I squeezed her hand to reassure her.
In Chemistry I watched as Libby's lab partner flirted with her endlessly. It would seem I wasn't the only one you saw how stunningly gorgeous she was. Charlie has always been known as a player and I'm more than sure Libby knew what he was capable of. I saw she'd just about had enough, so had I for that matter.
I waited for her outside the door. She trudged around the corner rolling her eyes, looking grim.
"Cheer up Libs," I said wrapping both of my arms around her shoulder. She said nothing so I tried again. "I have a proposal." Libby looked interested so I carried on. "You could stay with me when your parents are away?"
A hint of a smile danced into her eyes and I instantly new I'd won.
"Is that a yes then?"
"I'd love to but, won't your parents mind?"
"Of course they won't."
Libby hugged me so tightly I struggled to breath which was probably her aim.
She chuckled quietly next to me.

After several days of persistent nagging, my parents had finally agreed to let me stay with Will. I screamed to myself in excitement as I packed my suitcase smiling like an idiot. I folded my clothes neatly and piled them on top of each other one by one. I bent down to get Will's valentine present and put it into the suitcase. The doorbell rang and I zipped up my bag, pulling it firmly off the bed onto the floor with a thud.
A knock came from my bedroom door, I shouted telling them to come in.
The smile spread across his face mirrored mine.
