travis's pov:
me and taylor agreed to let riley come watch taylor preform the eras tour tonight after many weeks of begging.

we had to be at the stadium around 4 because taylor had to get hair, makeup and other things done. so i brought her some toys and her ipad while we waited for the performance to actually begin.

it was a tough call letting her go, but we decided it was okay, just this once. the concert would be past her bedtime, and some of the songs aren't that age appropriate for her, so i figured we'd just take a little break when that came around.

the hours passed by quickly and then we waited for taylor to rise from the stage and began preforming miss americana and the heartbreak prince.

since riley was still pretty young she didn't know all of the songs, but she knew a good chunk of them.

her current favorites were, you need to calm down, style, and you're on your own kid. once the time rolled around for the performance of you need to calm down, she was thrilled.

she didn't really understand how the setlist worked, and would be shocked and thrilled anytime taylor would play one of her favorites.

after the lover and fearless eras wrapped up, we watched her preform some songs of off reputation, which happened to be riley's favorite album at the moment.

"omg snakes!!" she shouted, seeing the graphics for the set. "yup, don't worry, they aren't real. you having fun?" i asked, lifting her up, she nodded and smiled, singing the lyrics to delicate.

we watched the rest of the eras and sang along until i decided to take her for a little walk outside the stadium during champagne problems.

i personally loved evermore and folklore, but i could see how as 5 year old might not enjoy those songs as much as the more pop albums like 1989 or lover.

once we came back in we danced along to every song of off 1989 and listened to the tortured poets department.

after the torres poets department set was finished, it was time for surprise songs, my favorite part.

taylor stood by her microphone and started talking about how special this song was to her, and then started to strum the chords to never grow up, off of her speak now album.

Your little hand's wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter 'cause you're dreamin'
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you, everything's funny
You got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have honey
If you could stay like that

once she finished singing the beautiful song she sat down at the piano without speaking and started pressing the keys to a very familiar sounding songs, i would definitely say it's a fan favorite.

Summer went away
Still, the yearning stays
I play it cool with the best of them
I wait patiently
He's gonna notice me
It's okay, we're the best of friends
Anyway
I hear it in your voice
You're smoking with your boys
I touch my phone as if it's your face
I didn't choose this town
I dream of getting out
There's just one who could make me stay
All my days

after the song was over, she quickly headed backstage for her quick change into the midnights era, which began with lavender haze- another song riley really enjoyed.

"yay!" she said once she realized it was one of her favorites. it was so sweet to see how happy she was watching her mother sing and dance.

once the time midnight rained rolled around, i took riley backstage for a few reasons.

we knew it would be crowded and a struggle to leave once the show ended, so it would be a lot easier to leave early and vigilante shit was the next song, which isn't something we want our 5 year old to be watching quite yet.

i might do a part 2, idk yet.
