no one's pov:
taylor is peacefully working at her desk inside of her home office when she hears a crack of thunder strike. taylor doesn't like storms, especially loud ones. she loved the rain, especially when it poured but she wasn't a fan of thunder and lightning.

she set her pen down, peering out the window she was sprinkles of rain hitting the ground, slowly turning into small puddles. she quickly glanced at her watch. it was 4:30, travis was supposed to be home at 4:45.

she hated storms, but being with travis can often help her calm down. she decided to take a break from her work, and headed downstairs to the living room. "mere?" she called out, looking for her cat.

"oh there you are." she chuckled, scooping meredith into her arms. she decided if she can't be with travis right now, maybe some cat cuddles will help. after cuddling up with meredith on the couch, both benjimin and olivia decided to join, putting a small smile on taylor's face.

she reached for the remote, maybe turning on a show would help distract her from the loud noises outside. she decided to binge watch greys anatomy for the nigh, her favorite show.

travis quickly gathered his bags from football practice, and hopped in the car. luckily it was still a soft drizzle, but he managed to not get soaked. he knew that taylor wasn't too fond of storms, so he tried his best to get home before it got bad.

roughly 10 minutes later, taylor hears the sound of the front door open and close. "travis!!" she yells from the couch. "im taking off my jacket, i'll be there soon. don't worry baby!" he says, placing his damp jacket on the hook and his shoes on the floor.

"hi babygirl." he breathed, sitting next to her on the couch. "you alright? is the storm bothering you?" he asks with a small frown. "a little. i.. i just don't like the loud noises when it thunders." she mumbles.

"i see. well is there anything i could do to help right now? food? drinks?" he asks, taylor shook her head. "just cuddles." she smiles.

"well good thing i can make that happen." she chuckles. "do you wanna go upstairs? i don't want you to fall asleep on the couch, it might make your back sore." he suggests.

"but.. but what if the storm gets really bad? we wont want to be upstairs..." she begins to worry. "babygirl... its just a little rain, maybe some thunder, we'll be okay. i promise" he smiles, standing up off the couch.

"you wanna be carried, yeah?" he asks, beginning to carry her up the stairs. with ease he successfully carried her up the flight of stairs without accidentally dropping her.

"there you go." she murmurs into her ear as he sets her down on the bed, fluffing up the pillows so they're soft. "thank you." she smiles, scrunching her face as travis begins to turn on greys anatomy.

"this episode alright?" he asks, she nods, pulling the blankets over her chest. "baby, will you be okay for a minute? i need to change, i can cuddle you in like 3 minutes, yeah?" he asks, stripping out of his football clothes.

"just please be quick." she urges, he nods. he picked out a pair of dark grey shorts and a random shirt with the chiefs logo on the front of it. he also grabbed one of his football hoodies out of the drawing, knowing taylor might want it when she gets cold.

"im back baby." he says, getting into the sheets when a loud crack of thunder strikes. "you're okay baby." travis whispers, he could see the fright her taylor's eyes.

"i promise baby, it'll be okay, let's just watch the show." he smiles, shutting the curtains above the bead. "o..okay." taylor stutters, leaning into his chest.

"honey.. you're safe. i promise" she replies as he softly strokes taylor's hair. another large roar of thunder arises, causing a small whimper from taylor.

she clung onto travis like a koala at the sound of it, never wanting to let go. "oh baby.. c'mere" he said, lifting her shaking body into his lap.

"sorry... it's just loud and scary." taylor admits, her cheeks flushing a pale pink as a few tears began to well in her eyes. "oh baby, you don't need to apologize for your fears. everyone is scared of certain things" he smiles, wiping away a teardrop from her eye.

travis counties to hold taylor in his lap until the storm passes. once travis is confident the storm has ended, he re-opens the curtain above their bed, which reveal a gorgeous blue sky.

"it's over." taylor said. "it's so pretty" she breathed, her hand reaching up to point. "look! a rainbow!" she shouted, pointing the the upper left side of the window frame.

"that's awesome. see, maybe storms aren't so scary?" he smiled, rocking her gently in his lap.
"do you wanna go outside? maybe we can get a nice picture of the rainbow?" travis suggests, taylor nods.

they step out onto the balcony, both staring at the beautiful view. "it's gorgeous." travis admits, fishing his phone out of his pocket. "i love you travis." taylor says out of nowhere.

although, travis was slightly confused by the randomness of taylor's statement, but he was glad they were in love, it was awesome. "i love you more." travis says, pressing a kiss into her temple.
