"Home? If what you're saying is true, then Medanzo, you must know what will happen once I connect to the Stasis Sanctuary."

Lloyd felt a headache coming on. From his perspective, he hadn't been in the **Interstice** for long, yet in this short time, he'd already endured more than enough shocks. His once familiar world was collapsing, or perhaps, new structures were being built upon the barren plains of his understanding. The Stasis Sanctuary was another **Interstice**.

During his time with the Demon Hunters, Lloyd attributed all sorts of eerie mysteries to demons. Back then, the Stasis Sanctuary, from a realistic standpoint, was merely a colossal structure hidden beneath the surface. When orders echoed in his mind, Lloyd hadn't thought much of it; after all, that grand underground building harbored too many secrets. The mysterious Shandarbon Demon Hunters resided there, using their uncanny foresight to assist with missions. But Lloyd never imagined its true form to be like this.

When "abnormalities" become commonplace, people start to view them as "normal." The **Interstice** was a bizarre mental realm, connecting every demon hunter, yet they had never glimpsed its true nature.

"The Stasis Sanctuary can track my location... pinpointing me within this weird **Interstice**. The secret orders are still in play. This will only lead to endless trouble," Lloyd snapped. He had made a deal with Watson, among others, to sever the connection. The secrets of the Gospel Church were numerous and terrifying. Lloyd knew that once reconnected, the Stasis Sanctuary would find him, and he would face the relentless pursuit of the church's crusaders.

The unending Holy Knights.

He had been away for so long, so long that the city that nurtured him had become alien, like a monster in the night. Just seeing its silhouette outlined by fireworks filled him with dread.

"So, Lloyd, I think we need to go home. There lies all the truth... at least for us," Medanzo said slowly.

In that underground palace, demon hunters were born. The ominous forbidden technology originated there, the source of the Night of Ascension. The heart of the mystery. If there was a place closest to the truth about demons, it would be the sacred Seven Hills, where all secrets were buried beneath the Sanalo Cathedral.

Lloyd paused, understanding what Medanzo meant. Not to reach the Stasis Sanctuary through the **Interstice**, but to go there in reality. A simple solution, given the Gospel Church was the center of all mysteries. As long as he reached there, all would be well—if he could survive the Holy Knights' onslaught.

"Think carefully, Lloyd. You must realize the Stasis Sanctuary connects not just you and me, but all surviving demon hunters," Medanzo said meaningfully.

Like some ominous revelation, Lloyd found himself saying, "Lawrence the Prior was also a demon hunter..."

Yes, once a demon hunter named Shandarbon, now the Prior Lawrence had completely vanished into the shadows, leaving no trace. But using the Stasis Sanctuary...

"No, the fact that he's still alive means the church doesn't know his location either. The Stasis Sanctuary can't fully help us."

"But there will be clues, won't there? Lloyd," Medanzo pressed, uncharacteristically eager. "Don't you see? We're on the verge of uncovering the truth."

The enigma shrouding the entire world. What are demons, truly?

The twisted, horrifying rift sealed up again, and the entire gray, cold world returned to its monotonous state. Medanzo looked at him with some disappointment.

"Lloyd, think with your own mind, not the church's."

Lloyd said nothing, just looked silently at Watson.
