Kids were leaving the dining pavilion as Nico shuffled over to his boyfriend. Will was chatting with his siblings when Nico approached. Nico tugged on Will's sleeve to get his attention.

"Hey Neeks!" Will greeted, signaling to his siblings to walk to the Hearth without him.

"Hey, um..." Nico glanced at his feet as he played with the dirt on the ground. He felt on the brink of tears and the lump in his throat was preventing him from talking.

"Oh, Nico, what's up?" Will moved closer to Nico, placing his hands on Nico's biceps, squeezing reassuringly.

"Will, I-" his voice caught, "I haven't been able to sleep. I can't and I'm just so tired," At that, Nico's tears were unleashed. Cascading down his cheeks like a waterfall. Will pulled Nico into his chest, rubbing Nico's back and holding his head. Will didn't ask why, he assumed it was nightmares, but he wasn't going to push. He just let Nico sob into his shirt.

"Shh, it's okay," Will cooed. He held Nico tight, wanting to make sure the smaller boy knew he was there.

"I'm just so tired," Nico sobbed, "and I'm scared, Will. I haven't slept in what feels like weeks and i'm just so tired,"

"Shh, it's okay baby. It's okay," Will stroked Nico's ink locks and kissed his head. "I'm going to help you alright?" Nico nodded into Will's chest.

They stood there for a while. Nico crying, and Will just holding him, letting him get it all out. The campers had left the dining hall and were all at the campfire, but Will would wait for Nico, as long as he needed.

Once Nico seemed to calm down, Will pulled away slightly, bringing Nico's face up to look at him.

"How about this: we head to the Hearth, we sing songs and eat s'mores with everyone. Then we go back to your cabin and I can help you. Sound good?" Nico nodded.

"Will?" he asked,

"Hm?"

"I can't feel my limbs," Nico stated, chuckling sadly.

"Probably because you cried so much your body is dehydrated. That along with the lack of sleep, I'm not surprised," Will stroked Nico's swollen cheeks. "Want me to carry you?"

"Yes please," Nico said quietly. Will promptly scooped Nico up, resting him on his hip like a toddler. Nico wrapped his arms and legs around Will like a koala, while Will held Nico up, with his arm under his butt and the other one supporting. Nico buried his face in the crook of Will's neck. He closed his eyes and settled into Will's warmth.

Will walked to Hestia's Hearth, only needing to re-adjust Nico a couple times. Nico was pretty light and very short, so Will had almost no issue carrying him there.

He spotted Annabeth, Percy, Piper, and Jason all sitting on a bench, chatting. He approached them and sat down. The four gave them strange looks, but Will just put his finger to his mouth, signaling them to keep quiet. Percy was about to say something, but then Annabeth slapped a hand over his mouth and glared at him. Then they went back to talking about whatever they were before.

Will adjusted Nico so he was sitting in his lap, pretty much the same position as being carried, but more in front of Will, rather than to the side. Nico kept his head in Will's chest, Not opening his eyes, and not looking around. Nico was in this weird state of numbness. He wasn't asleep, but he wasn't fully conscious either. He could hear everything around him, but he didn't grasp it. He could feel the vibrating of Will's chest when he sang along with the camp. He could hear Will's heart beat, steady and calm.

The campers started to clear out, heading to their cabins for bed. Will slowly stood up, moving Nico back to his original place on his hip. He then walked over to where Chiron and Mr. D were sitting.
