(s) Story XXXVI

I hope everyone has their ducks in a row because this is my first ever smut-shot! Woohoo (???) This contains smut Yes, but it is pretty minor, thought i'd start out small and work my way up I guess(?😭) WARNING: SMUT (honestly it's super chill, and sweet, please give it a try:)) Now onto our scheduled programming....

Will blinks awake to the soft shuffling of shoes from across his room. He looks around blearily, his eyes adjusting to the dark. He gets a glimpse of his window. It's open and a shadowy figure is crouching near it, carefully shutting it.

Will tilts his head in confusion, then sits up. "Nico?" he mumbles, rubbing his eyes with a yawn.

Nico freezes, then turns to face him. "Hey, love," he says tentatively, taking a step closer.

Will yawns again and opens his arms for Nico. "C'mere," he says. Nico walks into his open arms and Will hugs his waist tight, burying his face in Nico's stomach. Nico strokes his hair lovingly and Will feels sleep calling him again.

Then he jolts up. "Hold on. Neeks, why are you here? It's the middle of the night, on a weekday. We have school tomorrow. Do your parents know you're out? Is everything okay?" Will suddenly pulls away and lifts up Nico's hoodie, checking him over, then doing the Wille for his arms. He stands up on his knees on the bed and grabs Nico's face, checking his eyes and mouth.

Nico grumbles, swatting him away. "Will," he says sternly. This gets Will to stop pestering him. "I'm fine, I just," he sighs and places his hands on Will's shoulders. "I just missed you and I couldn't sleep. So I came here," Nico shrugs, acting nonchalant, but Will knows that's a facade.

"Alright, well, we do have school in about..." Will checks his clock; 1:00 am. "Six hours. Why don't you come lay down and we'll cuddle." Will smiles up at Nico and caresses his face.

Nico nods and takes off his shoes, socks, and pants before shimmying into bed beside Will. Will smiles as he pulls Nico to his chest, cradling the boy.

"You sure you're okay?" Will whispers, placing a kiss to Nico's obsidian hair.

Nico sighs, long and heavy. "I dunno," he mumbles, hugging Will tighter, hands fisting the back of Will's shirt tightly like he's his only life line.

"What's goin' on, sweet pea?" Will runs a hand through Nico's hair, the other drifting under his hoodie, a warm palm to his cold back.

Nico shivers. "I guess, It's just— ugh, I don't know. I'm just really tired and even though I sleep I'm still tired and school is so draining, Will," his voice cracks. "It's just so much work and we're gonna graduate in four months and I'm terrified," Will feels his shirt become damp with Nico's tears. He hugs him impossibly tighter and Nico sniffles. "I'm scared to graduate. I don't know what I'm doing for college and I really don't want you to leave." Nico releases quiet sobs and Will rocks him steadily back and forth.

"Oh, baby," Will cooes, leaning back a little to kiss Nico's tear stained and flushed cheeks. "It's a lot, huh," Nico nods and Will kisses his nose. "Leaving high school is so nerve wracking, I know, sugar. I'm scared too. But I know that as long as I have you, I'll be okay," Will gives a sappy smile.

Nico releases a wet giggle, but then more tears crowd his eyes. "But you might not have me, Will. You're going off to a wonderful medical school. Going to become a success. But me, I don't even know what I want to study, let alone a school. I have no idea what I want to do. Everyone knows who they're gonna be. You, Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Jason, Reyna, you all know your calling. I'm just a blob of nothingness. I'm not interesting, I have no hobbies. All I do is sleep and hang out with you,"

Will snorts. "Oh, please, sugarplum, you are plenty interesting. And besides, is hanging out with me all that bad?" Will teases. Nico glares at him, but it's short-lived as he glances at Will's smiling lips and leans in to kiss them.
