"I'm serious! It's not like the last full moon. I don't feel the same,'
Stiles Stilinski was skeptical, to say the least. After the events of the last full moon that had both him and Josie wanting to practically kill their friend, Stiles did not want to take Scott's word for it and believe that tonight's full moon would be any different for him.
"Oh, does that include the urge to maim and kill people like me and Jo?" he questioned his friend as they entered the locker room for early morning practice.
"I swear, I don't have the urge to maim and kill you,"
"You know, you say that now, but then the full moon goes up, and out come the fangs, and the claws, and there's a lot of howling and screaming and running everywhere, okay?" Stiles rattled off to Scott, who just looked dumbfounded at his friend's rambling. "And it's very stressful on me, and it was on Jo too, and so yes, I'm still locking you up."
"Okay, fine. But, I do think I'm more in control now, especially since things are good with Allison," a dreamy smile crossed over Scott's face for a moment as he seemed to look off into the distance. "Like...really good."
Stiles shut his eyes for a moment, contemplating wanting to bash his friend's head in. He had heard enough over text, and phone calls, just how good his relationship with the girl was going. He didn't need to hear it again.
"Yeah, I'm well aware of how good things are going between you two-"
"Stiles, it's like, really good-"
"All right, I get it! Just please, shut the hell up before I have the urge to maim and kill myself,"
It was Scott's turn to smirk as he leaned on his locker, eyeing up Stiles next to him as his friend dug into his bag for his lacrosse gear.
"Things could be going well for you, too, if you'd just, ya know..." Stiles eyebrow was raised as he looked back at his friend, who hit him lightly on the shoulder. "Dude, just ask Josie out! There's absolutely no way she says no!"
Now it was Stiles who was staring at his best friend as if he'd grown several heads and become an entire different supernatural creature in the span of five minutes. He let out a laugh, shaking his head.
"Good one Scott, real funny,"
"It's not a joke, dude," Scott's face turned more serious than teasing this time, giving his friend a genuine smile. "Allison and I talk about it all the time. You two have gotten so close with one another so fast, we both see how you are with each other. You're, like, constantly together or you're constantly texting one another, and don't think I don't see the way you're almost constantly holding hands or at least touching each other in some way! It's so obvious she likes you back."
"No, it's called I've seen the damn girl have panic attacks and I used to get them too, so I understand what it's like in those moments unlike the rest of you," Stiles tried to defend, even as red creeped up his neck and his cheeks. "Look, I've practically been in love with Jo for years and somehow she doesn't think we're losers and is actually our friend, I'm not screwing that up. Especially not when there's the whole witchy shit piled on top of it that we've barely even scratched the surface of."
