"I'm pretty sure it's illegal to keep students after school that long!"
Josie rolled her eyes affectionately as Stiles continued to ramble at her side, the pair moving swiftly through the hallways of Beacon Hills High School and back toward the main doors. The sun had set, and the pair barely knew how long Harris had actually kept them after school for detention.
Stiles opened the main door for her to let her out as Josie quickly turned on her phone, waiting for it to boot up so they could figure out how much had actually transpired tonight without them.
"It wasn't that horrible, it gave me a chance to finish my homework,"
"You did homework that entire time?"
"Did you not?" Josie questioned as Stiles threw both of their bags into the trunk of the Jeep. He paused, turning to look at her as Josie's eyes widened. "Stiles, did you legit not do homework that entire time?"
"Didn't seem like the appropriate time to do homework with everything going on tonight!"
"Stiles, we were stuck in detention with no cell phones and no way to help our friends...it was the perfect time to work on homework!"
The boy rolled his eyes at her statement, but she could still see the small smile on his lips as one crossed her own. He pulled out his own phone, it finally having turned on, and his eyes went wide as he turned the screen to face her.
"We seem to have missed a lot, given the thousands of texts I have from Scott,"
Josephine's phone finally turned on as her own eyes widened as well, seeing the thousands of texts she also had, but from Allison telling her to call her immediately.
She rang her friend immediately, and it only rung for a few seconds before Allison frantically picked up. Josie and Stiles leaned against the back of the Jeep as she put the phone on speaker so they could both hear Allison.
"Hey, sorry, Harris just finally let the two of us out of detention," Josie informed their friend. "He had our phones the whole time, what's going on?"
"We need to do something right now," Allison quickly began to explain to the pair. "My dad and my grandfather, they were asking me all these questions about Lydia and how she was bitten by Peter, and then they sent this guy out dressed like a Sheriff's deputy."
"They're probably sending him to the station for Issac, they must've put the pieces together," Stiles nodded as he spoke, and Allison quickly cut back in.
"He was also carrying this box with something on it. Like, um, like, a carving or something...hold on it's in this book somewhere, I'm sending you a picture,"
Opening up her text messages, the photo immediately came through from Allison, showing off the plant decorated in budding flowers. Josie turned to look at Stiles, who let out a deep breath at the sight of it.
