Engfa and Charlotte stepped out of the limousine, their eyes scanning the sprawling venue before them. The grand hall was lit up with intricate lighting and decorations, and the sound of soft music and laughter filled the air.
Engfa took Char's hand in hers, her grip firm and reassuring. "Ready to make an entrance, princess?"
As they stepped out of the limousine, Engfa and Char were immediately confronted with a barrage of camera flashes and shouted questions from the paparazzi.
Engfa held her composure, though her heart was racing underneath her calm exterior. This was familiar territory for her, but she knew that Charlotte was feeling overwhelmed.
She reached out and discreetly took hold of Char's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry," she whispered, her voice just loud enough for Charlotte to hear. "Just follow my lead, princess."
Engfa took the lead, shielding Char from the worst of the paparazzi frenzy with her body. They posed for a few quick photos before making their way towards the entrance of the grand hall.
As they walked, Engfa kept a protective arm around Charlotte's waist, pulling her close to her side. She knew that Charlotte was probably feeling uncomfortable with all the attention.
When they finally reached the grand hall, Engfa could feel Char relax slightly. The loud chaos of the paparazzi faded into a dull hum, replaced by the soft sounds of music and hushed conversation.
Engfa looked down at Char, her expression softening. "You okay?" she asked, her voice low and intimate.
Charlotte nodded, a soft smile on her lips.
As Engfa and Char stepped inside the grand hall, they were immediately swarmed by people who wanted to greet Engfa and chat with her. Engfa handled the attention gracefully, greeting each person with a warm smile and polite conversation.
As Engfa introduced Char to each person, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Char looked beautiful, dressed in the dress they had picked out together, and Engfa could see the other guests eyeing her admiringly.
"This is Charlotte," Engfa would say, her hand resting possessively on Char's lower back.
And each time, the other guests would gush over how beautiful Charlotte looked, how striking they looked together. Engfa could feel a sense of satisfaction in her chest, proud that she was the one who had the privilege of having Charlotte all to herself.
As they continued through the crowd, Engfa leaned down and murmured in Char's ear, her voice low and seductive. "You're stealing the show, princess. Everyone's eyes are on you."
Char blushed at Engfa's words, her heart skipping a beat at the compliment. "They're looking at you, not me," she protested, ducking her head shyly.
Engfa chuckled, gently tilting Char's chin up to look at her. "Oh, princess. If only you could see yourself the way I see you. You're breathtaking."
.
However, as the night deepened, Engfa was growing increasingly irritated as she realised that she was being pulled away from Charlotte more and more as the evening progressed. She wanted to focus on Char and spend quality time with her, but she had to keep up her facade of politeness and charm. Especially since some of the people trying to talk to her were connections in the Mafia world.
As more and more people approached Engfa, vying for her attention, she could feel Char growing increasingly uneasy. Char shifted awkwardly, her eyes darting around the room as she felt out of place amongst the wealthy and influential guests.
