Engfa chuckled as she pushed the wheelchair with Charlotte in it, watching as the princess sulked in the chair. She found Char's stubbornness adorable, her pouty expression only adding to her charm.

"Don't pout like that, princess," Engfa teased, her eyes glinting with amusement. "At least you get to enjoy the view without having to walk."

The sun was starting to set, and the sky was a beautiful blend of colors - pinks, oranges, and purples. The resort they were at was perched on a cliffside, the view of the ocean was vast and stunning.

Char huffed, her arms crossed and her lower lip slightly pouting. She wasn't happy about being pushed around in a wheelchair, but she couldn't deny that the view was undeniably beautiful.

"I can appreciate the view just fine without the wheelchair," she muttered, her voice a bit sulky.

Engfa just chuckled, amused at Charlotte's stubbornness. "Of course you can, princess. But this way, you get to enjoy the view and I get to push you around. It's a win-win."

Engfa wheeled Charlotte closer to the edge of the cliff, stopping at a spot that had a perfect view of the sunset over the ocean.

"See? Much better from this angle, isn't it?" Engfa teased, smirking.

Char couldn't help but agree. The view was breathtaking from here. The last rays of sunlight were dancing on the ocean surface, creating a mesmerizing sight.

"I suppose it's not bad," Char conceded, her pouting only half-hearted now.

Engfa smiled as she set up a simple blanket on the ground and a small box filled with snacks and food. The sun was starting to dip below the horizon, the sky awash in vibrant shades of orange and pink.

After she finished setting up, Engfa turned to Charlotte, who was still in the wheelchair. She carefully lifted her out, settling her down on the picnic blanket.

"There we go, princess," she said gently, sitting down beside her.

Engfa leaned back on her hands, her legs stretched out in front of her, as they watched the last rays of sunlight disappearing over the horizon.

Char turned to look at Engfa, sensing the taller woman's eyes, her expression curious. "What is it?"

Engfa sighed, her eyes meeting Char's. "Before-I mean back in the pageant... I never understood why you suddenly disappeared."

Engfa's words seem to hang in the air for a moment, the weight of her question palpable.

Char looked down at her hands, a small frown appearing on her face. She hadn't expected Engfa to bring that up.

After a moment of silence, she spoke, her voice soft. "It's... It's complicated, Engfa."

Engfa saw Char's expression, sensing that whatever the reason was, it was clearly a sensitive topic. So, she didn't press further.

Instead, she reached into the picnic basket on the ground beside her, pulling out a box of cut carrots. She remembered how Charlotte used to love snacking on carrots back in the pageant, and figured it was a good change of subject.

"Here, princess," Engfa said, handing the box of carrots to Char.

Charlotte looked down at the box of carrots, her expression softening as she recognized them. A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

"You remembered," she said quietly, her voice touched.

Engfa chuckled. "Of course I remember, princess. Anyone who has watched you munch on those carrots as if your life depended on it would remember."
