What If We Happened
In Dr. Jose Rizal's novel "Noli Me Tangere," the love story between Salome and Elias ends tragically. Now, it mirrors fate's intervention when Salome Seren Cervantes met Elias Francis Principe at a film showing. Hindi inakala ni Seren na ang love at first ay posible pala talagang mangyari. Upon meeting Elias for the first time, she attempted to find out more about him and started finding ways to catch his eyes.
Over time, what started as curiosity turned into a genuine friendship and Seren's friends challenge her to finally confess her feelings to him.
After graduating from Senior High School, Seren initially planned to pursue nursing, but financial struggles forced her to let go of that path. Ayaw niyang maging delay at ayaw niya ring maging working student. She need to follow different direction, and that direction happened to be the same one Elias chose: education.
All Seren has to do is to tell him her feelings. It sounded simple but for her, it never is. Tuwing nagkakaroon siya ng lakas ng loob, palaging may pumipigil sa kaniya. The timing would be off, her voice would fail her, or fear would creep in. Despite their namesakes in Dr. Jose Rizal's novel, will Seren forever wonder if they were meant for more than friendship? What if . . . they actually happened?
