Chapter XI

Irene's POV

I found myself waking up from my slumber with a nonstop knocking on my door.

When I was about to get up, I was pulled back down to bed and caged in to a hug. Then I realized... I turn to look at the person beside me. What the--

Another knock was heard. What did I do?

"Seulgi. Get up!" I shook her. She slowly opened up her eyes. God! She's so pretty. Joohyun, this is not the time! "Seulgi, come on now. Someone's at the door." I said to her. She smiled and let go of me, before she got up. I just watch her walk her way to the door, like I'm in a trance. Just how can she look like this early in the morning?

Before I can even realized what was happening, Seulgi was opening up the door already.

"Wait! Seul--" Fuck!

"Finally! I tho-- Seulgi unnie?" I heard a surprised Yeri. Damn it! You were suppose to hide her Joohyun! Not letting her open up the door.

I reach for the comforter and covered my whole self with it. What was she thinking opening up the door, like it's not a big deal that we are in a room together?

"Where's unnie?" I heard Yeri asked.

"She's... she's still asleep." Seulgi said.

"Oh! Can I come in? Is she dressed?" What the hell are those questions? I look down at myself. Seulgi always dressed me up after... Gosh! Stop it Joohyun!

"Sorry to ruin your morning Unnie, but Joohyun unnie and I have a flight to catch up." Yeri said. "I need to wake her up already."

"Wait!" Seulgi. "Will it be possible to extend her stay?" Huh?

"We already have our tickets. Unnie threatened me for this." Yeri said.

"Does she have work waiting for her there?" Kim Yerim, I swear to God!

"No." I closed my eyes frustratedly. "She's actually free the whole month."

"That's good." Seulgi said. "Can you not go anymore and move the date?"

"I can't do that." Yeri said. "I can't go against Joohyun unnie. So, if you'll excuse me. I have to wake her up."

"She's already awake." Seulgi suddenly said. Here I thought she'll cover up for me. I heard footsteps getting near the bed. "Hyun..." I got no choice but to open up the comforter. I glared at her at first, but when I saw her expression... I feel bad now.

I turn to look at Yerim, who is now looking at me in disbelief.

"Wow!" Yeri exclaimed, close to laughing her ass off. This is embarrassing! "Get up there already. We have a flight to catch up on!" She said to me.

I look over to Seulgi again. She's already looking down. Maybe we need a proper goodbye now. After what just happened last night, I can't just leave now can I?

"What time is our flight?" I asked.

"We have to be at the airport in two hours." Yeri answered. It's too soon.

"Let's extend our stay." I look at Yerim. "And will you please excuse us? I need to talk to Seulgi, privately." I said. Yeri then give me a teasing smile.

"Okay, just don't reject her." What? "Those marks on your neck would be a waste, if you're just going to end it all here." Marks? I look over to the big mirror facing bed and there I saw what she meant. Oh my God!

I heard Yeri chuckling on the side. I picked up a pillow and throw it to her direction that made her laugh now.

"Yaah! Stop laughing." I whined at her.

"And you said you two can't happen..." now she's teasing me for real.

"Get out of my room now, before I'll fire you." I throw another pillow again..

"Fine, fine. I'm going out now." She then look over to the side, where Seulgi is. "You don't have to mark her more, unnie. You were the only one who got this far, pretty sure you have a strong chance here."

"Yeri..." I said it like a warning. She then run out of the room. I just shook my head.

I look over to Seulgi and she's already staring at me, but not like literally. She's staring at my neck.

"Seulgi." I called her attention. She look up to me in daze.

"Huh?" Why is she like this? I facepalmed. How can I say goodbye if she acts like this? "Is there anything you want, Hyun? You need? I'm really sorry about those marks, I won't do..." I face her that made her stop. She looks like she's scared of being scolded.

If I'll just let it be for now, it wouldn't make a difference later on right? I'll still end up hurting her and myself. Can I be selfish for now? Even for a short period of time, I want to be with her again.

"Can you come closer?" I said to her and she followed. "Can I hug you?" I know this is just a little thing compared to what happened to us last night, but I still wanted this.

Her eyes blinked a few times before she nodded. I sat up straight and pulled her in for a hug. I found myself giving in to her warmth.

"Hyun..."

"I've missed you." I said, honestly and hugging her tightly before I moved away.

This time I saw her eyes starting to get watery. I chuckled as I feel myself getting emotional as well. I cupped her cheeks.

"Un-- Oh My God!" I suddenly let go of Seulgi and made a distance between us.

I look over to Sooyoung. She look at both of us shocked.

"Sooyoungah, you should've at least knock..." Seulgi told her.

"Maybe if you two closed the door, I would've done that." Right! Yeri just ran off and decided to leave the door open. I just shake my head. "And what are you doing here in Joohyun unnie's room?"

"We just talked." I answered when Seulgi was taking so long to answer.

"You were talking that close to each other?" She suspiciously look at my direction. Suddenly her eyes look down and she scoffs. "That's why you two suddenly disappeared last night."

I consciously lift up the collar of the polo I'm wearing, to cover up my neck. It's too many not to be seen by them, specially with Yeri and Sooyoung's eyes.

Sooyoung laughs.

"Breakfast's ready." She said and look at me. "Aren't you flying back home to Boston today unnie?"

"Not anymore." I said.

"I guess we'll be spending more days here now, aren't we?" She teased.

Oh God!
