Chapter XXVI

Seulgi's POV

I was able to get out of the hospital already. The doctor told me to have a week rest first before working again. Honestly? It's the very first time again that I'm loving being at home now than at work.

"Wake up Mommy!" I felt the bed move and the next thing I know a little person was all over me already.

"Baby careful. Remember, we just got out of the hospital." Hyun said to Selene as she's opening the curtains.

"I will Mama." This little one face me again with a huge smile. "We made you breakfast." She proudly said.

I pulled her in for a hug and made her lie down in bed with me.

"Oh did you really?" I said. She giggled at my action.

"I helped Mama." I look up to the person she's talking about. She's just there standing, watching us.

"Good Morning." She said and smiled at me. I can't believe I'd waking up to this now.

I let go of Selene and sat up.

"Morning Hyun." I lean up to her and point my right cheek. Her eyes widen when she realized what I'm asking.

"Mama also gives you morning kisses Mommy?" Selene asked me. I'm close to laughing when I saw Hyun's reactions at that.

"Before." I answered. Hyun mouthed 'stop it' she change expression when Selene look over to her again.

"Mommy's sick Mama. Auntie Jimin said kisses can cure." I can't help but smile at what I heard.

"Don't believe in whatever your Aunties tells you--"

"But it's true. You know in fairytales..." it's like Joohyun already know the next things Selene's going to say, because while listening to Selene I felt something on my cheek already.

"Done." She said. I look at her and she's still close to me. She's facing Selene now though.

"You gave me five kisses." I love this kid so much.

"Really? And I get one only?" I acted shocked. I look face Joohyun again.

"You." I give her a teasing smile.

"That's enough lovebirds!" Another voice came in. We all look at the person standing at the door now.

"Wendy." I said.

"I thought I'm still going to introduce myself. I guess you remember enough now." She walk over to us and give me a hug. "You scared me there KangSeul!" She pulled away and patted my shoulder. "I'm glad your okay now."

"Aren't you Auntie Sooyoung's girlfriend?" We look at Selene and I can see the amazement in her eyes as she looks at Wendy.

"Oh hi little one!" Wendy exclaimed. "I finally get to see you in person now."

"You're so pretty." Selene looks like she's in a trance. Wendy and I looked at each other.

"Why thank you." Wendy pinched her cheek and I just saw Selene blushed. What the hell?

"Where's Sooyoungie and Yerim?" Hyun asked Wendy but my eyes remained on my daughter, who I think just found her first crush now.

"They're downstairs. I just thought of going up here and seeing Seulgi already."  

We all got startled when Selene stand up and run her way outside of the room, as fast as she could.

"Auntieeee!" She shouted.

"Selene, be care-ful." I don't think that kid even heard what Hyun said, with how fast she rushed outside.

I just shook my head and chuckled at what just happened.

"It all make sense now." Wendy suddenly said that made the atmosphere in this room serious. She look over to Joohyun. "Your books..." she looked at me. "How it all ended up in your shelves..." she laughs. "Joohyun unnie was the girl you always talk to me about. It explains the way you were acting after that night." She sighed "I just thought, finally, there's going to be someone that could take her away from being a workaholic. That maybe if that person you were waiting for can't come back, a new one could save you from almost being drowned already."

I felt Hyun's eyes on me.

"but I guess your wait was all worth it?" She smiled proudly at me.

"Yes it is." I said to her.

Wendy was the best friend anyone could've ask for during the situation I was in, in the past. I was so lucky there was someone who listens and understands me, when everyone wasn't able to.

She was the only one I get to tell my secrets with. Maybe not in details, but she knows.

"I'm happy for you two." She look at me, then Joohyun. "I hope you get to stay with her now unnie. I think my friend had suffered enough already... and I know you also did. Start fighting for what the two of you want, this time around." I can only hug her with the words she's saying now.

"Were those some of the lines from your new play?" I said to lighten up the mood here. "You're getting too good at your job." I pulled away.

"What are you saying? Can't you see my sincerity? Waah! You're unbelievable!" We both laugh right after she said that.

She stands up from the bed.

"I'll go now. I don't want to see you cry." And just like Selene she rushed out of the room already.

"Let's---" I was about to get off the bed already when Hyun stopped me. Next thing I felt was kisses in every part of my face.

Every kiss there was an "I love you" and "I'm sorry" followed up. She cupped my face with both her hands.

I'm not complaining, I'm loving all these.

I met one of her kisses half way. I smiled when our lips touched.

"I love you most and I'm really sorry too." I said the same words she's been saying since earlier. I then pulled her in for a hug. "I'll never let anything or anyone separate us again. I promise."

"How 'bout hunger unnie?" Someone spoke that made us move away from each other quickly.

Yerim is standing at the front door with her arms crossed.

"We just came from picking up Wendy unnie from the airport. Please, we're hungry. Selene won't let us eat without you two." She said before she turn her back and leave the room.

I felt a hand on mine. I look up to her.

"Let's go before Sooyoungie will be the one to come up here next." She said, giggling. Right! We don't want that.
