Chapter XX

Seulgi's POV

Fight? Never thought I'd be doing this.

I'm currently playing this video game, against Miss Young's girlfriend. Not really used to this, but I'm trying my best to win.

"When did you learn how to play this?" Hyun whispered beside me. I just shook my head and my eyes remains on the screen.

"I didn't." I said. I heard her giggle.

"You're doing good tho."

"Do you not want to be with my Mama, Miss Seulgi?" Selene asks. Ugh! This kid! "Yey! Auntie Tae! Almost there!" Huh? That made me look at her direction.

Does she not want me to be with her mother?! She actually told me that if I defeat Miss Young's girlfriend, she'll let me be with her Mama.

"Love." I look at Hyun. "It's okay." She carress my arm and giving me an assuring smile.

I look back at the screen again I saw that I lost. That made me blink a few times, making sure I what I'm seeing is real. I look up to Miss Young, she's just laughing.

"Finally! The Seulgi Kang being bad at something!" She said. She then went and hug her girlfriend. "You did great" she kissed her cheek.

Her girlfriend look at me and mouthed "I'm sorry".

"Love." I face Hyun. "It's fine."

"Is it really?" I asked and then look over to her daughter, who is just watching us this whole time.

"Why don't you all stay for lunch." Miss Young said that caught our attention.

"Can we, Mama?" I heard Selene excitedly asked.

"Come o--" Miss Young paused when someone's phone started ringing. 

They all look at me.

"Miss Seulgi your phone is ringing." Selene said, pointing at it in the table. Oh it was mine?

I the took it and check first before answering.

"Excuse me." I said before standing up.

I glance up to Hyun and she just give me a nod. I then walk my way to the front door.

"Unnie, where are you?" I heard Sooyoung's voice from the other line.

"Why Sooyoungie?" I asked.

"Just answer me." I think I already have a clue on why she's calling, that's why I can't tell her.

"Are you back in New York already?" I ask

"Fine! Auntie and Uncle are looking for you." She said. And my thought was right. I sighed. "Unnie please. If you keep doing this, they'll gonna end up looking for the first person they think you'll gonna go. Unnie, you've read Joohyun unnie's letter she---"

"I am with her, Sooyoungah." I said that made her stop talking.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm redeeming what I lost years ago. I'm not going to let anyone ruin what we have, ever again."

"But Joohyun unnie said..."

"Tell my parents, I've already made up my mind. Nothing's going to make me change my decision. I'm done talking to them."

"Unnie..."

"Sooyoungah. I know how much respect you have for them but please, don't do things like this for them again. What they did was too much for me, I hope you understand that."

"I understand unnie."

"Thank you."  

"Unnie, are you really with Joohyun unnie now?" Sooyoung asks. 

"I am."

"How is she?" She has been worried about Joohyun since she knew everything. She wanted to ask but I know she's just being careful and decided not to anymore, because she knows how sensitive the topic is. 

"She's doing fine." I answered. 

"Are you two oka--" 

"Love." I suddenly heard Hyun talk behind me. I face her. "Sorry" She said it in a whisper.

"It's okay. It's just Sooyoungie." I said. 

"Unnie, can you give her the phone? I want to talk to her." Sooyoung said. I then hand my phone over to Joohyun. she give me a questioning look. 

"She wants to talk to you." She took it. 

I saw how her smile grew as she listens to Sooyoung. The first time I've heard of her from Sooyoung, I didn't really realized that she was talking about her. She only said that she have this Unnie that she adores so much, who is also an amazing writer. If only I knew it was her, I would've found her earlier. I should've been more curious.

"I'm going back to Boston on the next day. Let's just see each other there." She's going back? "I'll bring her with me." Our eyes met as she said those words. Next thing I know she giving me my phone back and they already ended the call. 

"What did she say?" 

"She wants to meet Selene." She said. Wait! She was talking about Selene?

"You're bringing her to Boston with you?" She smiled and nodded. 

"Maybe it's about time. I spend more of my days there. I think it's just right for her to live with me, she's my daughter after all." She smiled widely. "I want to make it up to her." That made me smilebtoo.

"And I'll be with you as you do it, Hyun." I took her hand in mine. "I'll be by your side and by her side, from now on." 

"So what do I call her, Mama?" I was startled when a little girl suddenly spoke. I mean we both got startled. "Is Love also your name Miss Seulgi? Mama calls you that." That made me laugh a little. 

Hyun then crouch down. 

"Baby, it's just the same as me calling you Baby." She said to her. The kid just answers with an Oh!

"I can be your other Mom." I crouch down just like Hyun. I just hope Selene isn't annoyed by me saying this stuffs to her. 

"Really?" She asks excitedly that made me sigh in relief. 

"Really." I nodded at her and give her a smile. Next thing I felt her small arms wrapping around me. I froze at first, after a second I hug her back. 

When we let go, I saw how huge her smile is. She really looks like the mini version of Joohyun. I patted her head. 

"You sure are happy about it." She nodded.

"I am." That made me feel so happy as well. Being accepted by her is such a relief. 

"At this point, you should live with us." I hear Hyun whispered to my side. It made me face her quickly. 

"Is it an offer?" I asks and she giggled. 'Cause if it is, I'll willingly take it.
