Chapter XXV

Irene's POV

I wake up from my slumber feeling something touching my forehead. I slowly opened my eyes, seeing Seulgi in front of me.

"Good morning love." She said. I stretched before I sat up.

"Morning." I said as I lean up to her and give her a peck on her cheek. "Why are you up? Go back to your bed." I stand up and guide her back.

"Hyun. I've been in bed for days now. I'm tired of it already." She whined and pouted at me. I smiled at her.

"Then you need to recover quickly, my love." I said.

"Can you call Selene for me?" She asks. I look up to the wall clock, checking the time. I shook my head as an answer.

"She's probably sleeping now." I said.

"Can't she travel yet?" She asked me.

"She can." I answered. I knew already what she's going to ask next.

"We've talked about this already Kang Seulgi."

"I know. I know. I just wanted to see her, Hyun. Really."

"When you get better and fly there yourself."

"Hyun." She looks up to me seriously.

"Hmm?"

"Do you trust me?" She asks.

"What's with that question? Of course I trust you." I said to her.

"Let Selene come here." I paused at what she said.

"I'm a little better now. I remember everything that I need to know already. There's Wonwoo too, we can protect her." She held my hand.

It's been almost a week of staying in the hospital. Seulgi's memories are slowly coming back. There were times though that she's in pain as she remember things, but her doctor said it's fine. She said she remembers almost everything now.

She's been dying to leave the hospital already, but her doctor advice her to stay for a few more days to make sure everything will be fine.

"You know the situation Seulgi. It's risky." I said. "You will see her soon. Okay? Just not now."

After I said that her expression changed.

"Hyun, mianhe." She said. Huh? "I just really want to see her."

"What do you mean?" She avoided my stare. "Yaaah!" God! I only facepalmed at the thought of what she already did.

Surely Yerim and Sooyoung won't go against me for Seulgi, right? Oh fuck me!

"What did you do?" I asked. "Kang Seulgi, answer me!"

"Mianhe, Hyun." That's the only thing she said. What else can I do now?

"What time will they arrive?" I asked. She look up to me.

"Wonwoo left to pick them up at the airport." I can only take a deep breath. Calming myself down. Here I thought Wonwoo's out to buy some food.

"You better assure me with my daughter's safety Seulgi." I said straight to her.

This has happened to her. I don't even want to think about possibilities now.

"Our daughter." She said, correcting what I just said. "She's our daughter now. She calls me Mommy, remember?" She proudly said that. "I will protect her with everything that I have. Do you want a troop?"

"Love I'm serious." I told her.

"I am too." She said. "We can make Wonwoo her personal bodyguard, if that---"
