Chapter XXI

Seulgi's POV

I stayed with them longer than I intended to. Now we just arrived at her place in Boston.

My relationship with Selene, is going so well. I just realized how nice it is having a little person just running around and always wanting your attention. I like it.

"Mommy is this your house?" I look at Joohyun and we both chuckled.

"No Baby. This is your Mama's house." I see the surprise look in her face. "And this is going to be your new home." I leaned down and patted her head.

"Do you get to stay here too?" She looks up to me. I give her a smile and shake my head.

"Why?"

"Baby, look at me." Hyun called her attention. "Mommy still needs to go home. She--"

"I still need to fix things, from my old home. I'll be back once I'm done with it." I assured the little one.

"You promise?" I nodded.

"I promise, I'll be back." I then look over to Joohyun. She just smiled back at me.

"I think you should go already." She said. "Yerim is already on her way. We don't want you to be late for you flight."

"I want to be late." I said. She just chuckled.

"Can I go with you Mom?" Selene suddenly said. Hyun and I look at each other.

"Baby we just arrived here." Hyun said.

"Mommy too, but she gets to leave already. I want to go with her, Mama." She said.

"Selene..."

"You'll be busy with work. I won't have anyone to play with me." Selene said and pouted. "Please Mama." I saw her being affected by her daughter's plea. She doesn't know how to respond.

"Maybe next time." I spoke. I know she doesn't like the idea, she just don't know how to say it to her daughter. The two look at me. "Next time I'll go back and your Mama's not busy anymore, I can bring you two with me." I look at Selene. "Your Mama wants to spend time with you, that's why she brought you here. Auntie Yeri's on her way already, you can play with her if Mama can't." I leveled down to her. "I want you to stay and take care of your Mama. Make sure she doesn't tire herself too much. Okay? I'll be back soon." I kiss her head.

"Okay." She said softly. Just in time the doorbell rang.

"That must be Kim Yerim already." Hyun said. I can see the excitement in Selene's eye's as she hears the name.

"I'll open Mama!" She said and run her way to the front door.

"Don't run!" Hyun said in panic as she watch her daughter.

I smiled and stand up. I went to her side.

"Why am I feelimg jealous with my daughter wanting to be with you than me?" She spoke seriously, that made me look at her in shock. She's just staring at the her daughter, now talking to Yeri.

"Hyun."

"You're just so lovable, aren't you?" She finally face me. She then give me a peck, I didn't expect. "You need to go now." I blink a few times, taking it in.

"I love you." I just feel like saying it. She chuckled.

"Suddenly?"

"I'll comeback sooner, I promise." I pulled her to me to give her a hug.

"I still can't believe this." We let go as we hear Yeri's voice. She's eyeing the two of us.

"Take care of them for me. Just for a while." I said to her.
