Chapter XXIV

Irene's POV

Turns out Seulgi's condition is just temporary. The Doctor said all her memories are going to comeback at some point.

After the exchange Auntie have with Seulgi's parents, they end up leaving. Now Auntie is talking to Seulgi, making her understand her real situation.

"So, we just got back together, without the knowledge of my parents?" She look up to me. I slowly nodded.

Suddenly, her brows furrowed and she massage her temple. I automatically went to her.

"Seulgi, you okay?" I panicked. I look over to Auntie. "Can you please call some--" she suddenly hold my hand.

"It's okay. It was just a little headache."

"It's not okay. It may be little or not but it's still---"

"Hyun!" I stopped as she called me that again. I look at her an she give me an assuring smile. "I promise, I'm fine."

"You're not fine." I said to her. "Look at where you're at now. Do you know how worried I was when Yeji told us what happened to you?" I feel myself wanting to let out everything I've been feeling. "I couldn't think straight Seulgi! I didn't know what to do. I was so damn frustrated that I couldn't even fly here to see you sooner. It scared the hell out of me." I paused just for me to calm down, because I started crying already.

"Hyun..." she softly called. I shake my head.

"Seulgi, I can't lose you. Not again." I shake my head, wiping my tears off my face. She just stare at me.

"You're not lo---" she paused when aphone suddenly rings.

When I knew it was mine, I check to see who it was. When I saw it was Yerim trying to call. I fixed myself. Selene must be looking for me already. I answered and my thoughts were right.

"Mama." She called.

"Yes Baby?" I said, making sure my tone won't give away than I came from crying.

"Auntie Yeri said you went somewhere for work. Can we go visit you?" I sighed.

"Can I talk to Auntie Yerim, baby?"

"You're on speaker unnie."I closed my eyes as she said that. She knows I'll scold her for letting Selene ask that to me.

"Baby, you listen to your Auntie Yerim okay? Mama's not going to be home for the next few days, I'm sorry." I said sadly.

I brought Selene to stay with me because I want to spend more time with her, but I don't think that's what 's going to happen now.

I look over to Seulgi and realized that she heard what I have just been saying. She's giving me a questioning look.

"I-is that Selene?" She asks. I just nodded, I don't want to lie to her about it. I just stopped her from talking about it earlier, I never denied that her dream. "Can I talk to her?"

"Huh?"

"Can I talk to her?" She repeated. I went over and give her my phone.

"Hello?" She said. Suddenly I saw her smile grew. "Yes baby..." I took away from my view when Auntie spoke.

"Joohyun." I look over to her. "Can I leave you here? I had an emergency meeting to attend to." I just nodded.

"Of course Auntie."

"I'll contact Wonwoo to come, just in case." I told her about what I know that really happened to Seulgi.

"Okay. Thank you again Auntie." I went up and hug her. I can feel that she surprised at what I did. I let go of her
