Chapter XVI

Seulgi's POV

When I come out of the board room, I went straight up to my office. Not long later I have them following after me.

I face them as I found the papers I was looking for.

"Seulgi." My mom started. I look up them seriously now.

"Great! You're here." I said to all of them. I look at the paper in my hand, only to see the blood stains on it already. I chuckled when I saw it.

"Seulgi, is that..."

"Yes, Dad." I smiled at him. "Too bad for you I wasn't able to sign it yet. Now I change my mind."

"What?! We already talked about this! You're giving us the shares that we deserve as the childre---"

"Shares that you deserve?" I sarcastically repeated. "Really Dad?"

"Seulgi, look!" He spoke to me calmly.  "We're sorry okay? But don't you think you're going a little too far for something from five years ago?" I scoff at what he said.

"Oh, I'm not that far yet Dad." I ripped and crumpled the papers in my hand.

"Seulgi!" They all raised their voices on me and look at me in disbelief.

Suddenly, the devil's mother came to me and slap me in the face. Damn it! How many time do I have to be slapped?

"Mom and Dad would be disappointed in you." I look at her and smirked.

"Well, I know they were disapointed in all of you first." I said.

"How dare you!" Wonwoo's Dad speak up.

"No. How dare all of you!" I said to all of them in rage. I can't take it anymore. "Did I ever once do any of you wrong? Huh?" I questioned and they all just went silent. "You were all trying to protect Micheal because he is Family?! But what about me?! Did you ever thought of what I would feel?!" I look at my parents.

"You were suppose to care about me!" I shouted at them. "You were suppose to be on my side! But what did you do!? You took away someone so important to me! It was not because she doesn't love me anymore, like what you all were saying, it's because of you why she left me." I look at Wonwoo's parents.

"I've always wondered why Wonwoo distanced himself from his own parents. Him being the only person who knows and didn't betray me, just says it all. Even your son's a better person than you." This time I look at Micheal's Mom.

"You're a woman. How can you tolerate your son's actions?" I look around the room. "Oh! Where is he? Is he running away already?"

"What does this girl has on you that you turned out like this?" His Mom asked that made me laugh. I leaned over to her.

"In case you still don't get it, this isn't because of her, this is because of all of you! Specially because of that son of yours." I said.

I was about to say more when I heard a knock on the door, my secretary went in our view.

"Sorry to disturb but Miss Yeji's he---" she wasn't able to continue when Yeji just burst open the door agressively."

"Yeji, darling, what are you do--"

"Save it Mom." Yeji fiercely said. It's the first time I hear her talk to Mom like that. She look at me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. Next to come in was Wonwoo. Why are they here?

"I suppose you'll need back up." Wonwoo said as he face our parents. "I see it got bloody already." He scoffs seeing the blood in my hand.

"You told her?" His father asked him in disbelief.

"It's about time Dad." He said. Next thing happened was Uncle pulled Wonwoo by the collar.

"Wait! Uncle, stop!" Yeji went to them. Wonwoo's Mom also tried to pull Uncle away from Wonwoo.

"I told you, you can't silence me for too long." Wonwoo said. "Justice needs to be served." Uncle pushed him away. It wasn't that strong that he was able to keep his balance. "Where's that jerk?" He ask seroiusly, looking at Auntie. "I've got my colleagues waiting for him at the lobby." He what? Even I was shocked at what he said.

"You can't arrest him at something that was already settled years ago."

"Don't worry a new case was filed against him. This time, I'm taking part of it and make sure he'll be convicted for years." Wonwoo firmly said.

"What the hell is happening to your children? How did you even raise them to be this--"

"If I were you Auntie, I would just shut up. If there was anyone that's in the wrong here and who's sick in the head, it's your son." Yeji straight up said. "Don't you think you should ask yourself how you raised him?"

"Yeji!" Mom called her out.

"Am I wrong Mom?" She asked our mother in a very challenging tone. That just made my Mom pause. "You must think so, when you're the one who defended Micheal Oppa in court." She look at our father. "Despite knowing the truth, you still defended him. You just threw away your dignity for a person like him?"

"We just did that to keep this family intact." Dad said.

"What family Dad?" Yeji starts crying now. "We barely even see each other. By family, do you mean just you and your siblings? Because you don't even care about how it would affect your own daughter and just went with what you thought was right, when you know all too well that you were on the wrong side." She said.

"You're still young to understand..."

"You still think what you've done was the right thing? You're unbelievable!" I said in between their exchange. I just can't stand it. "Get the hell out of my office now."

"Seu--"

"I said leave!" I shouted that startled all of them.

It's all been a surprised to them how I'm acting now. I never ever raised my voice to anyone like this. I just want to make sure they know how much they've messed up, because I don't think I'll ever forgive them for what they've done.

They didn't have a choice but to leave now. I was left with my sister and Wonwoo now.

I got my phone up and was about to leave already when one of them spoke.

"Where are you going?" I face them.

"Back to Jeju." I said. "I still need to talk to Joohyun." I saw them look at each other. With just that I already got a bad feeling...

"Unnie, they're not there anymore." What?

"What do you mean?" Surely, she won't leave again, right?

"She flew back already Noona."

"No, you're lying. She said she'll stay for more days." I said to them. Yeji shook her head.

"I wish we are unnie." She said.I took in a deep breath and look at my cousin.

"Do you know what time their back flight is?"

There's no way I'm just gonna let her disappear on me again. There's just no way.
