Adhi's POV: I finished two exams, three more to go. It keeps reminding me how much I hate these exams! Sam is going to my house today, poor girl is so worried! I'm currently sitting in front of the computer doing the MCQ exam. It's not bad; it's kind of easy! So, I am on the last question. I finish and turn to look at Sam's best friend, Nitya who is actually sleeping in front of her computer screen. I got to know about these people; Sam and I exchanged all the details on the people who will be around us for these days. I like Nitya; she is fun, and I can see why those two are close friends. They are totally opposites from what I see, and opposites attract always! We submit our answers and walk out of the exam hall. Nitya greets me with a huge grin, and when I say huge, I mean all 32 teeth on display.
"So, topper! How did you do? Centum?" She puts her arm around my shoulder, which feels a bit weird, but I stay still and say, "Yeah, if centum means 25 out of 60." I roll my eyes at her, and it's true. I said it was easy; I didn't mean I knew all the answers! Nitya laughs, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, come on! You probably did better than that."
I shrug, "We'll see. How about you? Centum for you?"
She grins, "Not quite, but close enough. It was easier than I expected."
As we walk out of the building, Nitya starts talking about the plans for the evening. "So, what are you doing tonight? Any plans?"
I hesitate for a moment, then remember Adhi's instructions about hanging out with his friends. "Actually, I think I might just relax at home. Maybe catch up on some shows."
Nitya pouts, "Boring! You should come out with us. We're going to grab dinner and then maybe hit up a new café that just opened."
I consider her offer. "I might join you guys later. I'll let you know."
Nitya nods, satisfied with my response. "Alright, just text me. Don't be a stranger!"
We part ways, and I head back to my place. On the way, I check my phone and see a message from Sam.
Sam: Met your family! Mission success! They are lovely!
I smile, relieved.
Adhi: That's awesome! Glad it went well. Enjoy your time there.
Sam: Thanks! How's the studying going?
Adhi: Just finished another exam. Three more to go.
Sam: Hang in there! You're doing great.
I take a deep breath and put my phone away. It's been a whirlwind of experiences, but knowing Sam is managing well gives me a bit of peace. I just need to get through these exams and hope we switch back soon.
