Adhi's pov:
Sitting here in the mandapam, I can't take my eyes off Sam. She sits opposite me, draped in the most beautiful red saree that makes her skin glow. The slightest blush peeks through her light makeup, and I silently thank all the gods in the universe for bringing her back to me. As we prepare to take the pheras—the seven vows—I smile at her, knowing this is the moment we've both been waiting for.
As we walk around the sacred fire, I vow to provide for us, to ensure that our home is filled with love and prosperity. With each step, I promise to protect her and care for her in every way I can. Sam's eyes meet mine, and I know that she trusts me completely, just as I trust her.
Together, we promise to nurture each other, to support each other's dreams and ambitions. I silently vow to always encourage her, to be her biggest fan. I can see the determination in her gaze, and I know that with her by my side, we can achieve anything.
We promise to remain faithful to one another, to walk this journey of life hand in hand. My heart swells with love as I realize that no matter the distance or the time apart, we've always found our way back to each other. Today, I pledge to never let go again.
With this step, I vow to be a friend, a companion in every sense. I want to share not just the joy but also the burdens of life with her. Sam looks at me, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, and I know that we'll face every challenge together, never alone.
We promise to care for and cherish our family, to raise them with the same values we hold dear. In this moment, I envision a future with her—one filled with laughter, shared traditions, and the love we'll pass down to our children.
I vow to always stand by her side, in sickness and in health, through good times and bad. Sam's fingers tighten around mine, and I know we've both seen our share of hardships. But with this vow, I promise that we'll weather every storm together.
As we take the final step, I promise that our bond will remain unbroken, for eternity. I'll love her in this life and beyond, and together, we'll build a legacy of love that endures forever. I look at Sam as we finish the vows, her eyes filled with the same love I feel in my heart. I smile, knowing that we've just sealed our lives together with these sacred promises.
As soon as the ceremony is over, we head back to my house, finishing all the *poojas* there. I take her to my room, and we sit down on the bed next to each other, her head resting on my shoulder."Now are you going to tell me how you made all this happen?" she whispers, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. I smile and reply, "You're tired. We should rest. Tomorrow for sure!"
She whines, "Adhi!! You've been ignoring that question for the past month! Come on!! Please!!!!!!" How can I say no to those puppy eyes?
I chuckle and take her hand, making her sit in the chair in front of the mirror. I go behind her, carefully pulling out the ton of pins from her hair. Looking at her through the mirror, I start my story. "Two months ago, I saw your sister in Australia. I couldn't stop myself from talking to her, so I went up and asked how you were doing. Of course, I introduced myself first."
"She was confused at first but quickly realized and said, 'Of course! She loves you!' Oh, and just so you know, I didn't mention anything about my feelings to her. But then she continued, 'That's why she used to cry every time you were a bit low in your performance. She was the happiest person on earth every time you did well! When you became captain, she celebrated for a whole week! Those picture cutouts of you from newspapers? That wallpaper she hasn't removed for years? She even had it framed in her room! Damn, who would've thought?'"
I look at Sam, who has a small, sad smile on her face. I pull her into a hug, saying, "It's okay! I told your sister that we broke things off because your parents would never accept it. She came up with the idea of a fake marriage proposal sent to your parents, disguising it as if it was from the pandit himself!" I kiss her cheek and add, "Your sis is a great mastermind! I think you need to take classes on lying without getting brutally caught."
She laughs and shouts, "Hey, I'm not that bad!"
"Yeah, sure!" I walk into the closet to get us some comfortable clothes. Instead, I find her already in one of my shirts when I come out of the restroom. "Hey, you stole my shirt!"
She laughs, "Get used to it! I love your shirts, Mr. Adhitya Krishnamurthi!""Oh yeah?" I say, tickling her, and we both burst into laughter. The room grows quiet for a moment as we lie down on the bed.
"I LOVE YOU, MR. ADHITYA KRISHNAMURTHI!"
She looks at me, her expression serious for a moment. "I'm sorry for hurting you. I would never do it again! And thanks for holding on to me. I promise I will never let you go!" With that, she brings her lips to mine, connecting them and slowly moving against each other.
"You're my first kiss!" she whispers shyly, her cheeks turning a deep shade of red. I pull her onto me and hug her tightly. "And I intend to be your last!"
She smiles and lays her head on my chest. "Good thing that romance books taught you something at last!" I joke, and she playfully punches me. "Ouch!"
We slowly slip into dreamland in each other's arms, and I promise to never let her go, Sameera Reddy.

The Next Day:"Adhi, where are we going?" Sam asks, trying to keep up with me. Her mouth falls open when she sees MSD!
"I promised you I would get a picture of you with him!" I lean down and whisper slowly, "In your body, that is!"
I take her phone, and we click pictures together. MSD sir is charming and takes a moment to chat with her. She's starstruck, her excitement radiating off her as she interacts with the players. It's not her first time meeting them, and certainly not the last, but seeing her this happy makes my heart swell with joy.
