CHAPTER 4: A DAY BACK

Who is that banging on my door? Why would mom and dad bang on my door so loud, I don't even lock my door? Why do I feel so tired? 

I get up march towards the door and BANG! I hit the wall instead! What the hell? I rub my eyes and look around. The room is different, it's like a hotel room. How did I end up here. When I look down at my body my heart stops for a minute. I'm in a man's body? what is happening? I run towards the mirror and see, I'm not in some ordinary person's body I'm in Adhithya Krishnamurthi's body. I forgot for a second that someone is banging on my door and stare at mirror with wide eyes and suddenly the door flies open. I turn around see Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill and eyes grow wider if that is even possible. 

Shub: "How long will it take for u to open the door, Adhi?" he asks as they come in.
Ish: "Wow you woke early? Hey if you are wide awake why didn't u open the door? We got worried and got the spare key from down!" I know I'm supposed to say something. I am trying to answer them but then the minute they walked in I forgot the everything and my mind is blank! 

"There are 1million words in English, 150,000 words in Hindi, say something God damn it! Say anything! You really can't find anything?"
"Uh-uh I Um- I Didn't hear it properly." I say as I scratch the back of my neck, little bit embarrassed as they look at me a tad bit worried. "You could have just kept quiet, now they are worried!" 
Shub: "Adhi are you okay? Are you not feeling well?"
Ish: "Bro, don't say you are not feeling well. Today is the big day!"
Adhi: "N-No, I uh I'm fine!" I stutter as I assure them. 
Ish: "okay, Get ready fast. We have a small meeting, and we have to leave."
Adhi: "okay!" I nod and they start to leave. 
"Uhm bhai! where should I come after getting ready?" as I finish, they look at me shocked?
Ish & Shub: "Did you just call us bhai?" they asked in unison and Shubman comes to me and keeps the back of his hand on my forehead and check my temperature? 
"Does he have a fever?" Ishan asks and Shubman shakes his head as a no. They just shrug and leave. 

The second they leave I start to freak out. I look at the mirror and keep starting at my reflection. 
"Last night I was a girl, today I'm a boy? What the hell is happening?"
"Did I just soul switch like the movies? But why him" I ask pointing at the mirror as if someone will answer me. "I have never met him. We don't know each other. Do I like him, you ask ofc i do I mean look at him and he's good in cricket"
"Hey, since your already in the body Don't you wanna check him out?" my pervy consy comes out of somewhere. 
"Shut up, I don't wanna do that! It's like taking advantage."     
"I bet he already saw yours." That's when it clicks in my mind that he must be in my body. 
"Adhithya Krishnamurthi is in my body?" Just the thought of it made the heat rise in my face.

I searched around for his phone and noticed a few missed calls. "Why do I feel like I know this number?" then realization hit me like a truck. "This is my number! He must have been up already." I call him immediately. 

Adhi: "Hello!" it was my voice that greeted me from the other side. 
Sam: "So this is definitely not a dream." as I ask I can feel my consy rolling her eyes on me.
Adhi: "I don't think so!" 
Sam: "How did this happen?" 
Adhi: "You are asking as if I know the answer. I am as confused as you are." We stay quite for a few minutes.
Sam: "This kind of shit happens only in movies"
Adhi: "Don't mind me asking, but did you try any kind of black magic recently?" I can feel that he asks me with hesitation.
Sam: "Ohhh Yeah! I tried to switch soul with Taylor swift. I'm sorry Mr. Adhithya. It must have gone wrong!" 
Adhi: "Really? Then where did you go wrong and end up in my body."
Is he serious right now? I roll my eyes as I reply
Sam: "I don't know. Maybe I should try again"
"Yo! you have serious problems stop messing with him"    
"He is one that started it! Ugh fine" 
Sam: "Ok come on now seriously. What do we do?"
 Adhi: "Again you ask me as if I am experienced and go soul switching every time."
Sam: "Mr. Adhithya, we have to do something, we can't be like this. I have my exams in 2 days!" I almost tear up thinking about my exams.
Adhi: "what do they usually do in movies when this kind of stuff happen?"
Sam: "What they do is impossible for us to do" 
Adhi: "And why is that?"
Sam: "One because they are movies, 2 we don't have that much time, 3 it's not possible and 4 Gee I don't know maybe because we have to fall in love" even after all the things I rant out he is still quiet. 
Adhi: "Okay then! We'll fall in love" my mouth falls on the floor as soon as he finishes. 
Sam: "What? Excuse me? Did I just hear you say, 'We'll fall in love'"? I try to mimic him but fail miserably.
Adhi: "Why is that so hard?" I shake my head in disbelief. Is this man for real?
Sam: "So hard? This is love love not just 'I LOVE YOU' love"
Adhi: "What?" 
Sam: "Mr. Adhithya, I LOVE YOU" Sam says with a very sweet tone.
"See it didn't work. Mr. Adhithya it's not just saying I love you; you have to really feel it from the bottom of your heart."  
Adhi: "First of all don't call me Mr. Adhithya, call me Adhi. And second, I know you are confused so am I. Let's just take some time and think."
Sam: "Okay, I'm so sorry! I have to go Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan asked to get freshened up and come, there's some meeting it seems." 
"And Is it okay if I- uhm -I- uh- take a bath?" as I finish, I hear him giggle.
Adhi: "You can! And I hope it's okay, if I do the same?"
Sam: "Yes but please don't look!" 
Adhi: "You do know that I should be touching to get clean right?" he asks me with another giggle. 
okay please kill me now! 
Sam: "Sorry, it's just, never mind nothing. sorry Do you know where I should go for the meeting."
Adhi: "Uhm we usually meet at Vee bhai's room. So go to room 305."
Sam: "okay thank you, I will call u as soon as the meeting gets over. Bye!"
Adhi: "hey I still don't know you name!"
Sam:  "Sameera Reddy, nice meeting you Mr. Adhithya Krishnamurthi"
Adhi: "Nice meeting you, Ms. Sameera Reddy have a nice day!"

"He seems nice, if only you hadn't been an idiot." 
"Ugh not now consy! Let's get ready before someone figures out something is wrong." with a big sigh I turn to the restroom.

With a train of thought I go to Vee bhai's room.
