Author's POV

The next morning, everyone woke up early and got ready to visit Jiya's place, just an hour's drive from Jaipur. They settled into their cars: Manik, Neelam, and Karishma in one, while Varun, Kabir, Jahnvi, Prem, Sakshi, and Subhadra shared the other. Varun took the wheel, with Kabir sitting beside him. Subhadra and Sakshi sat in the middle row, and Prem and Jahnvi occupied the back.

After an hour's journey, they reached Jiya's house. The family noticed the modest size of the house as they stepped out of the car. Varun quickly got out and opened the door for his grandmother, while Kabir did the same for his mother. Then, Kabir bent the seat forward to let Prem and Jahnvi out.

Neelam and her family arrived shortly after. Neelam muttered under her breath, "They found a girl from this mud? Couldn't they get a better match for Varun?"

Subhadra shot her daughter a stern look. Walking over to her, she whispered sharply, "If I see any drama from you or your daughter, I won't spare either of you, Neelam. You know my anger well enough."

Neelam immediately fell silent, intimidated by her mother's firm tone. Subhadra's warning had its desired effect, and Neelam kept her thoughts to herself.

Mr. Dixit and his family warmly welcomed them inside. The small house felt cozy and inviting. Everyone exchanged polite greetings and smiles as they entered, ready for the day's important discussions.

As soon as they stepped inside, Jahnvi ran ahead and exclaimed "Appu Didi! and hugged Appu tightly. Appu reciprocated the hug and asked How are you, Jaanu? You didn't call me," Appu said with a fake anger.

"Sorry, Didi, busy with college, you know," Jahnvi replied sheepishly.

Appu smiled warmly. "Come, meet your Kaveri and Jiya Didi."

Everyone smiled at Jahnvi's eagerness. Kabir whispered to Varun, "Jaanu knows more about them than we do, bhai. She knows everyone in the house."

Varun chuckled, "It seems so."

Mr. Dixit then stepped forward to make formal introductions. "Maaji, Prem, Sakshi Bhabhi, you already know our family. Let me introduce ourselves to the kids. I am Madhav Dixit, and this is my father, Manohar Dixit. This is my wife, Lata Dixit. I have three daughters: Kaveri, my eldest; Jiya, my second; and Aparna, my youngest."
