AUTHOR'S POV

It was a VIP area, secluded and private, with strict security ensuring no one could enter. The air was thick with tension as everyone waited in agonizing silence. After what felt like an eternity, the doctor finally emerged from the ICU, wiping his brow as he approached the group.

Yash, who had been pacing restlessly rushed toward him. His voice was strained with worry. "Doctor, how is Janhvi? How is she doing?"

The doctor sighed, looking at Yash and then at the others before speaking. "We've done everything we could, Mr. Singhania. We treated her external injuries and managed to stop the internal bleeding. But... her right hand and left leg are fractured badly."

Yash's heart sank but before the doctor could continue he interrupted, his voice trembling "But she's fine, right? She's going to be okay?"

The doctor smiled reassuringly, placing a hand on Yash's shoulder. "Yes, she's completely fine, Mr. Singhania. She's out of immediate danger and she will regain consciousness soon. You'll be able to see her shortly."

Relief washed over Yash like a wave. His knees almost buckled as the weight of his fear finally lifted. He let out a long, shaky breath and clutched the pendant around his neck-a symbol of his love and faith. Closing his eyes, he whispered a silent prayer, thanking God for saving Janhvi.

He sat down, his emotions finally catching up with him. The nightmare wasn't over, but the worst was behind them. Janhvi was safe now and that was all that mattered.

As they all waited for Janhvi to regain consciousness, the tension in the air was palpable. Yash sat quietly, maintaining a clear distance from his family. His silence, cold and indifferent was obvious to everyone present. The unspoken rift between Yash and his family hung heavy in the air making the already tense atmosphere even more uncomfortable.

His mother, noticing the growing gap, stepped forward cautiously "Yash," she called softly, trying to get his attention. He didn't respond his eyes fixed ahead lost in his own thoughts.

She called again this time louder, "Yash!" Her voice carried a hint of frustration.

Yash slowly looked up, his face expressionless. "What?" he asked, his tone sharp and distant.

Before his mother could reply his father stepped forward clearly agitated by Yash's behavior. "What is this behavior, Yash? We raised you better than this!" his father said sternly, his voice filled with authority.

Yash let out a bitter smirk the emotions he had been holding back bubbling to the surface. "Of course you taught me better," he replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But when it mattered the most you all didn't behave properly, when Janhvi needed you, when I was away from her... you all forgot that what she meant to me. Conveniently."
